Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, damp and very wet underfoot lots of laying water, but drier day forecast.
Dinner last night was use up, DH moaned I ignored. Chicken for tonight, not sure what format that will take though.
Work was busy yesterday expecting the same today, but only half day for me today.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning all
Thank you for the start nmlc
Yesterday the weather was wonderful, if you're a duck. I got soaked and the wind was wicked going to the Registrar's, but it's done.
Heard a banging noise and found the corner of the roof of the side porch flapping in the wind. Managed to put a couple of bricks on it to hold it down, roof still there this morning so will have to see if it's something I can fix. Trying to get tradesmen to do small jobs is almost impossible around here.
Take care

Im off to collect Rob today and take him to his work hopefully they will have some indoor jobs for us to do, I need a few bits of shopping so will pop in the shop on the way home.
Dinner tonight will be some Pasta we bought back from Venice with a hm tomato and garlic sauce I made from left over tomatoes at Christmas will do a big salad and some garlic bread with it also lots of Parmesan.
I talked to the company last night re mum and they are going to email me with potential matches and then have a meet with them to see if everyone gets along, Coxy we think mum already gets attendance allowance but will look into it thanks xx

Morning! Feeling very rubbish this morning so will be phoning docs in a bit. Didn't do an awful lot yesterday after, not really planning on doing anything today either. 26 hangers left the building yesterday though so woop, the bag of hangers has suddenly shrunk. Maybe I was keeping them in case I suddenly developed a case of walk in closet, who knows..Izzy, I'm looking forward to your countodwn! SO, you could try your community page on fb, I've found two from recommendations there. Or do you have any strappping neighbours? Ruby, that was quick work, hope one of them is suitable! Nancy, same as, even the songs I hated I know the words to
Right, take care all, including the less than 100 percenters....

Morning all. No rain atm!
Yesterday was a dull, wet, miserable day, although DD did come round with the GCs so that helped brighten things up. Bacon sandwiches for lunch and she tried to fix our printer but unsuccessfully; we've decided it's not connecting to the wifi for some reason. It's not even very old.
One of the roads was closed off by the police last night when I went out to Morris practice so I had to find a new, longer, route back. It's a fairly rural route so I guess it was flood water; hopefully not an accident.
Today I'll be off to help at the Community Larder. Not sure what food will be delivered as the warehouse only reopened on Monday after Christmas/New Year so there might not be much choice of goods. Plan to make tarragon chicken for tonight so can always go to a S/M for any extra veg I need afterwards.
Take care everyone.9 -
Morning folks. I think today is going to be one of those days when it's dark all day. Not much in the way of rain is forecast but it certainly looks gloomy out there.
We are back to bus trip day today after our Christmas recess! It will probably be Skipton again but I doubt there will be much activity on the market today. As long as we get our wine 'n' dine lunch, followed by a good old natter, that's the main thing!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, worried, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning all. A dull day here but dry. Plan to shift some of the bags of stuff in my porch and hall way to the charity shops this morning. Dozed off so got up 20 minutes later than planned.

Funeral yesterday went well ,He was a retired farmer so we all agreed would probably have been happy with the weather .
Silver ,do you have an Age UK locally ,they usually have a list or your building insurance company may help .
my decorator is here now ( hallway which suffered from the wheelchair, hoist etc ) so a lot of decluttering will be done ,including a mammoth book cull .I have to start sorting this tip properly

Morning All
It was dry when I got up but is raining again now, yesterday turned into a really horrid day weatherwise so I didn't manage a walk, did some stretches instead. I've been swimming this morning, there were only a couple of people in so nice and quiet. Haven't been for what seems like months and now I've been it'll get easier.
Hope you find someone for your DM Ruby and she is on the mend.
Sorry you've now got the lurgy taff, slow down and recover.
Enjoy the bus trip TA.
Got the car back yesterday, we all met at Ikea for a coffee and I dropped them at the airport which is a short distance away. They got home ok and DS2 starts his new job today.
I'm going to meet my friend for lunch, she had a knee replacement a month ago, happy that she wants to go out, just hope she can manage in my little car.
Hope the poorlies are feeling better, well done SO - that's a rotten job done. Hopefully you will find someone to fix your roof.
Take care. XX9 -
A little later from me as the cough seems to be getting worse again
yesterday was mostly spent coughing.
It's dull and damp here too, no rain here but it's due in a couple of hours. Mind you, the day was nothing in comparision to what was happening in the south of England. Storm Henk looked horrendous, so much damage and many injuries. I hope that everyone here is safe and dry.I have no plans for today, again, apart from the monthy banking. I've got the dehumidifier going in my living room to help dry out after the rain last week when I had water coming in underneath the woodburner. I've had two boiled eggs for breakfast and have got chicken and salady stuff for later. My usual routine is having some veggies beforehand as it suits my digestion better.SO - well done on doing the registration. When I had to do one a couple of years ago it was all done over the phone, something I was very pleased about. As for your other problem, please try your local council - most have a 'Care and Repair' system (or a name similar) which offers repair and maintenance to those of pension age and over. Mostly labour is free with only the cost of materials being charged. The C&R have lists of vetted tradespeople so it's worth making an enquiry. My late DM used them a lot. It's available for both home owners and renters.Ruby - good luck with getting a good carer, it can make all the difference.Taff - sorry that you're still feeling rotten, I hope that the doc can help. I'm putting off ringing mine as I'm sure I've got a virus which doesn't respond to ABs.WL - perhaps trying posting on the Tech board, they have some very knowledgable people there. Be sure to post which make and model of printer too.TA - woohoo! Back to wine and dine, it'll do you good unless the rain tips down!Florence - you do keep busy.SSue - a good funeral is always worth going to. Good luck with the decorator.Camelot - enjoy your lunch.9 -
Good morning everyone. Have not posted for a couple of days as not much happening and feeling a little low given the weather and still trying to get used to filling my days on my own. Hope the poorlies can start to feel better soon and those with worries or difficulties can find some solace
Take care xx7
