Why can't you start a new thread on the section of the forum you are on?

It's stupid that you have to come out of the section you want to post a new thread on.

Didn't we used to be able to post a new thread on the section we were on?

You can.
Or least I can on my phone. Press the red new thread button and it starts a new thread on the bit of the forum that I’m in.

There should be red circle with a plus sign at the bottom right of your view. That's your new thread button

I have this on my phone.

On my laptop there is a red oblong box near the top of the page on the right hand side which says "+ Create New" which is the new thread button.

Can you see either of these buttons?

Why isn't it labelled?

Would be better as a button at the top of the screen in the green band
