A super chill day, bit of decluttering, washing, mowed lawn, baked delicious blueberry muffins…and a very much needed NSD.. lovely!
Tomorrow I need to do some more garden work, prune/weed/tidy. Then my weekend plans are a bit of work, but not much! The usual bedding/washing, clean floors, steam lounge rug and more decluttering with heaps of chilling, cheap days and nice dog walks 🤞🏼. Got about £50 to spend this weekend in my budget allowance until Mon payday 🎉 and a new budget for the month/week comes into play, but I don’t have any major hankerings or needs so I may try and send that to EF. Or get a takeaway?!? 🤔😆😬 we shall see!Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 208/550

I found £25 pounds! It’s like the universe is telling me it’s ok to get a takeaway!
Can’t stop looking at holidays for 2025! 😬😆
Must get EF well in place before that!
Dog walk and maybe a bath and clip today? Or just a walk/trim no bath as just writing that made me feel probably similar to how the dog feels having a bath. 😭Vets for boosters for dog later, I’m paying a monthly subscription to vets for flea/wormer/booster so hopefully don’t have to pay for vaccines today?Home alone for two nights from tonight and I can’t wait for a date with myself!Feeling quite refreshed and lots of pottering pending.Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 208/550

Have fun pottering! I have been doing the same as I am home alone for two days too
The universe is definitely telling you to treat yourself there with that bonus £25
so enjoy the takeaway! 1 -
Enjoy the takeaway. No harm in looking at Holidays as gives you something to aim for. Maybe try and find ways to make extra money such as surveys or selling items and use that to build a holiday fund.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7000

@Sarahwithlove indeed! I have been checking prices vs school holidays… a bit of research! Just chomping at the bit to get this debt done and be freeee! The holiday fund will definitely need some work, passports, airport hotel/airport taxi, clothes for all etc all need to be budgeted. It’s been nearly 8 years since I went abroad on holiday, I paid for me, ex and the boys to do a long haul before DS2 turned 2. Will be so lovely to be able to take the boys away again on a plane! ✈️ 🎉💯 my goal for 2025! Just need car and bathroom to stay functional 😬🤞🏼Sarahwithlove said:Enjoy the takeaway. I've a friend on FB who takes day trips instead of big hols. But her day trips are to places like Barcelona 😯 she posts regularly about cheap tickets and pics of her with a glass in hand in some random European city! I think she gets them last minute but not entirely sure. I haven't any money for hols either so I think I might ask her for some info on this cheap tickets thing it looks fun.1
