Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, windy and blustery start to the day, it's been raining heavily during the night although it has stopped at the moment but more forecast during the day.
Dinner tonight I'm not sure but quite a bit of food in the fridge, will find something.
Back to work today, pleased to get back to some sort of normality.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Back to rain after a fairly decent couple of days. No washing to do thank goodness, the machine needs a rest!
Hope your DM is recovering Ruby and you manage to get some help organised. What a fright you must have had.
Poor Mr F Florence, hope he's ok. That's a lot for Christmas dinner!
Hugs to the poorlies and those with worries.
How are you Silver Oldie?
Friends are taking me to Ikea this morning where I will hopefully meet up with DS2 and his DP to collect my car and drop them at the airport. I think DD and family will come along too so we can all have a coffee before they leave.
Lunch at DDs was lovely yesterday, the little one was dressed as Elsa - her Daddy had asked her what she wanted to wear and she chose her outfit!
It's a holiday here again today then all back to normal tomorrow although I'm off until next Monday.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX12 -
Good morning camelot and nmlc.. and everyone!
The weather really is crap, ds1 had the eye hospital today to find out if his op has been successful 🙏, so just hope we can make it without getting completely soaked in this rain.
I've got sweet and sour turkey for dinner, will have that with just plain rice. I'll pop it in the slowcooker later, it doesn't take long.
Using up some jars and freezer meat/veg. Making a goal to get through as much as possible.
Will hopefully avoid the pitfalls of town today, I do need to get some birthday gifts and some poop bags. 💩
Hopefully there will be a break in the rain and I can get it all done today, instead of spending money on a bus ticket another day to go get stuff. 🙃
I'm exhausted already but it's only the 2nd of january ! I'm hoping to get some more stuff decluttered today (boys clothes) and just reign myself in with the finances!
Must stay strong! 👊
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.Decluttering 2024 challenge 🏡

Good morning all
Thank you for starting us of nmlc
Life has been difficult and today I have to register DH's death. I've done everything I needed with the interim certificate but this must be done.
It suddenly hit me yesterday. 2024 is a year DH will never see and I will face it alone.
Take care

Still dark outside though I think it's dry.Yesterday was enlivened by the chap up the hill who came to first foot me with his son. As is traditional he brought his own bottle of whisky (Jura) and chanters so, after some chat they began playing Auld Lang Syne, the son got a few notes wrong but it was still so lovely. They played two more tunes after that. He also fitted two lampshades for me which had been waiting since the decorators earlier in the month. A chanter is the part of bagpipes which makes the sound but with the bag, just the pipe bit.Once again, no plans for the day. Still doing a lot of coughing though the tsunami of snot has almost dried up. If the weather is dry I may scrub the slabs in the back garden which are a bit green, there's not many of them. They need splashed with the patio cleaner and then the hard broom. So sorry to read about hospital visits and worries over the holidays. And so happy to read about various GC being delightful.12

Morning all
Pourimg with rain here and we are to be battered with high winds as well today ! Lovely start to the New Year, I have three people coming today assuming that all arrive, there is a film on at a local cinema which I think they may like so will ask them if they want to go, it’s either that or bowling in this weather.
Ive made enquiries into getting some more help for mum the company will ring me back, we are going to ask for someone 3 hrs a week to take her shopping and do some light cleaning / washing she also still has her cleaner but we may start to look for another one as this one seems to be slacking a bit, I have also got someone coming at the weekend to price up for a deep clean to give her a fresh start, hopefully these things will make her more comfortable.
Dinner tonight will be burger in a bun with chips I will run one round to mum to save her cooking. DD has the day off today so I’m sure she will cook.
WM is on and doing its thing it will have to go in the TD today for sure.
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
Earlier for me today - DFs 85th birthday so will be providing favourite breakfasts and meals etc!For me, once the 2nd Jan is over it feels like things are back to normal after the in between time and NY etc even though I don’t go back to my pt job til the 9th.Yellow wind and rain warning, just for a change! Mightily fed up of this wet weather but supposedly colder and drier this moment - let’s hope so, it was nice to see just a peek of the sun yesterday. If there’s time I’ll be continuing to plan and start making Easter crafts for my shop and craft fairs.
Hope those that are returning to work have a good day.AA13 -

It’s not raining yet here but predicted to. I’ve got a haircut today which I’m looking forward to and a T&scos delivery. Managed a no spend day yesterday as DF kindly bought me coffee so things are looking good. Just watching some tv before I head out.13
