Mine does run off an app now although I do it via my computer still. Yes you can set the timings yourself. My IHD is telling me that I am currently exporting 3.24kw. What a great idea for the shower.

That could even be abbreviated to 'just stop ironing' @WelshmansDaughter . 😂😂

In fact the ironing is the only listed activity I've even started. A few items now need to be put away. I also found a couple of items that came out of the loft and were going to be ironed and photographed to sell, but both had small stains to remove. Stain remover and a machine load of washing got added to the list and I'm pleased to say I think the stains are gone.

Lunch was scrambled eggs with some salady bits, chilli and cheese in a bun. I ought to add sorting the fridge to the list. There are also mushrooms which were nearly past it so they are being rinsed and put in the sun to make vitamin D - come to think of it, I could probably sun dry them rather than freeze. They keep for ages if dried.

I need to Get On and Do Something.

@badmemory , it's interesting your installers insisted on a battery. I assume yours, if charged from the grid, fills in 3 hours?

All I've done so far today is have a lie in, check and delete work emails, get myself locked out of a work system, emailed about that, and agreed to meet someone re plans for the children's work this afternoon.

Before lunch, here's yesterday's list, cut to a more accessible form so I can aim for something:

    • children's work - meet to find out more
    • send birthday card
    • review of job application
    • ironing
    • Vinted listing(s)
    • Water plants
    • Email re solar
    • book carpet cleaner
    • paint bench
    • buy fence paint
    • put chick peas to soak

Yes. The battery will only go down to 10% in theory but has actually gone down to 4%. Actually 2 hours is more than enough to fill the 8kWh batteries with any other for the dishwasher. One silly thing that has dawned on me is that when my kettle goes I will be be replacing it with one that is not a 3 kw one. It is surprising how many things kick off with a 3 kw starter. The bits of useless info you can accumulate!!

    I'm taking notes, thanks!

Today's meeting was helpful and has clarified a few bits and pieces - and I have a replacement team leader, which is brilliant (a long-standing one has just decided something else needs her focus). I'm quite happy now that I'm free to write my rota!

I dropped off the soft plastics recycling on the way there and called into Mr T on the way home as I noticed I had some coupons due to expire in four days. Original total £25.26, reduced to £16.86, which included a free pizza from their Thursday offer. So it was pizza for tea and half of it for tomorrow's lunch. There are frozen cherries, mixed fruit, peas and sweetcorn all at 20% off (and they fitted in the freezer with a small amount of space to spare) and I've frozen a handful of blackberries: the first of this year's crop. I also got liver discounted from £2.87 to £1.72 (I need to portion it out and pop it in the freezer), discounted milk (which is now making yogurt) and money off cheese and cleaning products, so I was happy with that.

That was as much as I could carry home, and I just had time to put things away and eat before work.

The list of things to do is still almost intact but at least the chickpeas are in to soak.

I made the mistake of having three cups of coffee this morning (though in a very MS fashion: I just kept putting more hot water into the cafetiere). It wasn't a good idea. The coffee still tasted of coffee but afterwards it affected my mood. At least I could tell that's what was happening and it's worn off now.

I did some tidying up first thing and washed the kitchen floor, then began dog sitting. The dog had a beach day yesterday and was tired so we kept it quite. I did some laundry then noticed it was raining and had to bring everything in again. It was a very fine drizzle so things didn't get really wet.

The chickpeas, yogurt and liver have all been processed and the freezer is once again full.

Other than that, I've done very little during the day. When the rain stopped, the dog and I went for a walk and arrived back just before the family arrived to collect her. She's a pleasure to have around. It also gave me a chance to see family members including my sunny grand daughter!

I was late going out to the shops - what a day it's been for not wanting to get down to things - but bought lots of stuff for the family BBQ tomorrow. That means a busy couple of hours after lunch getting salads ready. In the evening I finally got the rota done and it's going to be a busy term. I'm praying for more team members!

Earlier this week I forgot to cut off caffeine after 3pm - Usually I have two a day - one in the morning and one early afternoon. I had two socially from 4 onwards and at 2 the following morning had real regrets!
