No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries January 2024

@ruby_eskimo youve reminded me that I had a BB eyeshadow previously. Think it was called Bone. Ive also completely panned a Bronze Shimmerbrick in the past too. Recently tried Face Base. To be fair though nothing will sway me from my favourite MAC Radiant primer.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. The stash has grown by one small deodorant (was free sample) and a toner and moisturiser. However these last two were because I needed a make up remover and went back to my favourite brand to see that the gift packages were reduced so bought one as was same price but came with some nice extras to try out along with a make up bag. .
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -
First UU of 2024!Faith in nature coconut shower gel. WBA. Love the fragrance and lasts ages. Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN1

My first UU of 2024.
Lacura fragrance free body lotion. Its in packaging similar to Vaseline brand. Didn't like this one. It was too thick. WNBA. Have plenty of body moisturiser in my stash.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Happy New Year everyone! I've started mine with covid, so not a great start, but oh well- things can only get better I guess!
Haven't done my list for this year yet, but some totals for last year-
December
INS 22 (9 gifts, 9 replacements, the rest not strictly necessary)
OUTS: 16
2023 totals- eek, these are big numbers
INS: 215
OUTS: 271
All I can say is that at least more items left my collection than came in, but it is still a huge amount of stuff, and a lot of money spent. I dread to think what it might have been if I wasn't at least trying to behave myself!!!
Need to be better this year. For starters have to rebuild savings after the house purchase last year, so I can't be spending it all on toiletries and makeup.
Its my birthday this month and I know for sure I am getting a Bella Beaute Bar eyeshadow palette from my parents, perhaps a few other beauty gifts, so there will be INs that aren't simply replacements, but my personal spend should be fairly low.Jan Grocery Challenge 2023: £181.18/£400

I'm definitely in this time and getting serious about using stuff up and only buying what I need.
Thinking about moving house in the future and money in the bank is better than stash in the drawer.
Plus some stuff I have had for over 3 years and needs using before it goes off.
I've resisted the sales and Next Beauty Boxes (my downfall for a quick dopamine hit). I am a Beauty Pie member so will only buy from them if I really need something.Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without2 -
Well done for resisting the sales, @Hodgepodge! I need to focus on building savings back up post-house buy last year, so I too need money in the bank, not in the stash!!
Have come up with my PP list for 2024:Carried over from last year
1) Tony Moly - The Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Skin toner: tbh I think the TM toner is actually gone, as I kept topping up the bottle with other toners! But since I called the toners I used to top up the bottle the empties, and not the TM one, I will say that I still have this to use up. I wont refill now, and then when finished the bottle I can finally call the TM toner an empty!
2) Vaseline Cocoa Radiant Body Oil- I WILL use this this year!!
3) LilyLolo Mineral Blush- Goddess: a deeper more rusty rose red colour. I actually quite like this now after trying to pan it last year, so I'd rather it wasn't gone, but I've started so now I have to finish!
4) Benefit Gogo Tint: bright cherry lip n cheek tint. Probs will last a hundred years!
5) Sugarpill loose eyeshadow in Absinthe: A sparkly green, of which I have many.
6) Sugarpill loose eyeshadow in Penelope: a super reflective metallic copper with extra large particles. Too flakey and annoying, and not really my colour.
New items
7) Isntree - Onion Newpair Essence Toner: expired, will use on body.
8) COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence: expired, will use on body.
9) DR. CEURACLE Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence: expired, will use on body.
10) Lilylolo lipstick in Love Affair: browny nude sheer shade- very balmy.
11) Barry M eyeshadow pot in 44: a copper shimmer
12) Ample N Ceramide Shot Ampoule: expired, will use on body.
13) Mad About Skin antioxidant cream: expired, will use on body.
14) DERMATORY - Hypoallergenic Cica Gel Cream 50ml
15) NEOGEN - Dermalogy White Truffle Serum In Oil Drop
16) Benton - Deep Green Tea Toner: expired, will use on body.
17) The Body Shop- Body Yogurt in Strawberry
18) I'm from - Mugwort Essence
19) MAC Black Cherry Glow Play Lipbalm: bought in 2021.... probably should use this up now!
20) No 7 Hydraluminous lipbalm in Coral: almost done!
21) Skin1004 Brightening ampoule toner: used this on my neck for a few weeks before Christmas and no adverse reaction, so might attempt this on my actual face soon!!
22) Collection- Gloss Me Up lipgloss in Lychee: pretty shiny gloss in a peachy dusty pink colour. Not far off being done.
23) Collection - Gloss Me Up lipgloss in Pink Fizz: a pink sparkly lipgloss that I LOVE- it’s very fun and silly! It’s almost finished.
24) The Body Shop hand cream in Winter Jasmine
All the expired products were because of the skin allergic reactions I was having last year- couldn't use any products and so they all expired on me. I’ve been clear since Sept now (last bout), and I don’t seem to have gotton it this time with covid which is great (the original trigger)! It’s a good sign I can maybe start introducing products again. Slowly of course, and one at a time to make sure nothing sets me off. Once I’m feeling fully better from the covid, I might add either the Skin1004 ampoule or Mugwort essence into my routine- starting on my neck for 2 weeks first to ensure no reactions.
And one UU this morning:
- Lily Lolo- Peepo Colour Corrector: Yellow colour-correcting powder. Use under eyes (ok) and on any blemishes/dark marks (brilliant!) and it really cancels out the purple mark. Already had a replacement in stash

I have a few INs.
2 x handwash and 1 x hand lotion by The Fragrance Society at M&S. The handwashes are £5 each as opposed to Bath & Body Works which are now £10 each.
Ive also ordered a 500ml bottle of ABC Bodycare body lotion. Have decided that I need to return ti this to deal with some itching issues.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
