I won! Just got the judgment in the post today. CEL didn't turn up.

The judge was very friendly and walked through my arguments from my witness statement. She agreed that they had served to the wrong address and also hadn't used specific enough wording in the claim (as held in Chan). The judge set aside the judgment, struck out the claim, and ordered costs of £275 to be paid to me. She awarded costs as they had been unreasonable by not following their own code of practice.

One tip, on the day the clerk at first refused to take my papers through to the judge before the hearing saying that they should have been submitted a week in advance. She did eventually take pity on me and take them through but if you can figure out how to submit your documents in advance I would do! They already had the stuff I attached to the email with my N244 but there were some additional things I wanted to submit.
