OMG these are OOS in every boomin argos store within 40miles of me!!! It says in stock and says I can collect between 31st-3rd Jan but then says sorry,we have no stock! Same with ordering it for home delivery..it even let me enter card details in and got it verified with my bank too..then said no stock!! How come people are getting these?!

People are getting these because they were quick off the mark reserving theirs when the OP first posted. Just like most Argos bargains its luck of the draw if they have any in stock near you. For those who reserved 1 today and couldn't pick it up your reservation will be released at close of business and available to be reserved again.
