Our local F@tface has as a sale... so does Sea_salt but there the 'posh' socks are still posh prices, whereas F@tface ones are £3 a pair, and ultra-cute. It's still more than I like paying but where I've paid 'more' in the past, those socks are still a treat to wear. (Tempted to go back... eek!)

I'd never seen 'The Snowman' in that light, LOL. Similar to Edmund leaving his new torch in Narnia...

also adding in my heartfelt thanks to you @PipneyJane

and to all who have posted this year, helping me to cut back spend on clothing, (one swimsuit and a pair of walking boots I think), whilst providing entertainment and enlightenment on rationing.  I haven't quite cracked the yarn/fabric acquisition but I shall try to work on that in 2025!

I'm onto knitting sock pair no. 3 - using up the remaining WYS Holly Berry (leg) with cuff and foot in a vintage 4 ply wool, (Wavecrest in scarlet) from stash - might get another pair from this combo!)  

The Christmas sock band, @PipneyJane was from Winwickmum's site

I missed a few posts last time I posted so I'm late to the party - but a massive thanks to Pip from me, too. This is one of my absolute favourite threads and must have been running nearly as long as the war. However, if we keep going as long as rationing did, we have many years to come.
