Today I am grateful for a phone conversation with camhs for pip, for pip going to school and getting his final mock exams done, for getting myself to liddle for bargains and to the gym for an enjoyable sesh, for booking the last bit of accommodation for our trip to Oz in July.

Sounds like everyone is making positive steps forward this month 😊
More snow has fallen overnight & the wind was blowing more today, so lots of drifts & blockages on the roads. We've been told not to go out in a vehicle & that all schools are closed again tomorrow. So a very long weekend for me 😍
Slept late after being up with my jigsaw last night, so no yoga done. Didn't go for a walk either because if the snow showers. Cleaned the cupboard & draw fronts of a unit in the living room, then did an online training course.
After dinner, I shortened the sleeves on 2 coats & practiced more Norwegian. My brother phoned, managed to thank him for his 'expert' suggestions & not snap this week.
Did the dishes after tea, chose a new book to read & looked out things for starting my new knitting project 😃
Grateful that I only had one course to do, staying cosy inside, not being stuck for craft things or books to choose from, that we've got tomorrow off tooUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Evening allWork day today and it was freezing! My workplace is in a very old building with non existent insulation and not much in the way of heating. Kept my coat on all day. Had to go to the supermarket after work as DS and family are coming for dinner tomorrow evening and I was missing a couple of vital ingredients for the meal.Dinner tonight wasn't much effort, just jacket potatoes with chilli and coleslaw that was already made and in the fridge, but I made a sticky toffee pudding for tomorrow night. It will be easy to warm up, and just the chicken and veg tray bake main course won't be too onerous after work.A table I had listed on FB Marketplace went yesterday evening, and some table linen went this morning. I am very keen for a large trunk to go next, as I am loving the space that is being freed up. I will definitely list some more items at the weekend when I have time.Grateful for a warm house and decluttering successes.11

Evening all,
A chilly but bright day today, which I enjoyed from the comfort of my homeHowever, not an NDS for me today as have had to book a couple of things online, so I'm on NSD 5 still.
Other than that not much to report other than I'm dreaming up a new housework habit tracker for my bullet journal. Dull but necessary!
Grateful for:1) Having found my keys that had been missing a week or so!
2) Homemade 'trail mix'.
3) Winter Spice squash11 -
Grateful today for a lovely few hours with DD before she departs these shores, we tried out a cafe quite near her dad's, food was delicious, but boy, the costs now for light lunch things like toasties and jacket spuds. Luckily I had a voucher, and it's not like we get many opportunities!
Also grateful that getting my ears pierced went smoothly. I last had them done about (ahem) 23 years ago at uni. It didn't work and the fronts sunk into my ears overnight, had to go to A&E to get them removed (pulled out the back - eeeek). My mum has hers done at 80 yrs old and regretted not doing it sooner, I was in a seize the day mood so got them done first thing today. First lot of twisting/cleaning has gone ok! DD laughing at me, but then she had hers done aged 15 by a boy in the park, survived without an infection.... but they are a little wonky, we just don't mention it!
Grateful to have survived a session at the gym, I booked a place at the last minute when I realised I was in danger of sitting around glumly looking at my phone at the start of the evening. Nice company and while I struggled with some exercises, doing something is better than nothing.
Not a NSD today then - ear piercing. Economised on some other things, using the voucher for lunch, etc. But - had my own rear windscreen drama - reversed into the end of a railing, and shattered it completely! Luckily some very helpful folk nearby, who helped me to clean up the glass and patch it up with industrial cling wrap..After multiple calls established it's not covered by the insurance, so have gone with the most reasonable quote and convenient availability. A lovely sounding man on the phone too! Glad it's not privacy tinted glass though - I got the quotes for both by accident, the privacy glass was coming in at £950 more! There's nothing that exciting that goes on in my boot, so I'm going with the £285 quote instead 🤣
Sending those who are snow-bound or very chilly some warming vibes, hope you are in a position to enjoy the extra calories that I am told are vital in the cold. Don't think it qualifies here, though it has been frosty today!

@apple_muncher Well done pip on getting those Mocks done and dusted!
Well done to Ma for getting so much done10 -
Lots of Turtles seem to have been really busy today
....... whilst I have been really lazy - over-sleeping and doing the minimum in the house
Things will be different tomorrow as I'll be up early washing/drying and packing Step-mum's nighties and warm clothes to take to her when my brother and I visit her in the afternoon. She picked up a UTI earlier in the week and was really confused and not herself, but when I rang the ward today I was told that she was fine, sitting out of bed on her chair, going off to the toilet on her zimmer and had hardly slept at all during the day. Amazing for 95 (but she never had kids, though!)
Pleased to report that I'm up to 8 NSD's
Gratitudes:
My DD2 suprised me by paying for my food shop
My little adopted cat made me laugh out loud today, he's such a character
Enjoying prepping and eating a huuuuge, colourful veggie salad for DD2 and myself
Stay warm all

Money arrived from gold selling🎉. There is enough there to cover the additional weekends adventures, petrol and food plus food and petrol for the original weekend. Dead chuffed with that. Will pay off the incurred bill and put the rest in my isa, so it doesn't get used for bills etc. Still waiting for book selling payout. That I will cash and put directly into fun pot.Took youngest to get a new winter coat as the one they've got isn't keeping them warm enough and they are having difficulties with the zip. It was a charity shop find, so not a total waste of money. New coat didn't cost me anything as it was from their PIP.Last night went and volunteered. We were packing onions and beans for our up and coming potato day. We got through almost everything, so not needed today.NSD #5Grateful for1. Making the effort to go last night2. The youngest finding a coat that fits, with a zip that can do on their own that will keep them warm.3. Central heatingLove🐞
