As long as you don't buy Bush, Polaroid or any other generic own brand , then any telly around £400 will do you just fine
All tellys between 50-60 inches are ultra HD 4k and are "smart"1 -
Whatever you decide to buy then please buy it from either John Lewis (who give a 5 year warranty) or Richer Sounds (who give a 6 year warranty on most). Personally quite a few years ago I had a TV die on me just 3 months before the 5 year warranty was up. JL said it was old technology and couldn't be economically repaired so they replaced it for a new one. It was one that cost significantly less than the original one but as the tech had moved on so much it was much much better. Can't complain at that.2

If you aren't worried about lots of applications being on the TV (has the basics Netflix, Amazon, Disney+ etc) then a
HISENSE 50A6KTUK 50" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV may suit the bill at only £279.
Is only LED and 60hz but is $K with Dolby Vision HDR10+, eARC HDMI so covers the main bases. Hisense is a decent mid budget brand these days and do some good solid TV's. You may not get one where you can get a 5-6 year warranty, but does I believe have 2 years and for that price its maybe not such a big reason to not but one.
If any apps aren't available on it you need, then an Amazon TV stick for £40 could fill the gap.1
