That’s the standard message for untracked packages. Make sure buyer opens e as that way when you refund you get all your FVFs back.hubb said:When I type in the tracking number on the RM site I get the error "An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item"
Fortunately the buyer is being very reasonable with me but I feel my hands are tied. I have just offered a refund if they don't want to wait it out a bit longer.I’m in exactly the same boat myself. Mine was sent about 2 weeks ago and never updated, so I’m waiting for them to open the INR case so I can refund.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yes tell them to wait maximum 14 days it could be still stuck somewhere or a lazy postman has just chucked it through. Then you can open a claim form you will need cost of item proof receipt online purchase sometimes they send cheques or value in stamps.0

The buyer has asked for a refund as the book was needed for Christmas so I have asked her to open a INR case0

A buyer can start an INR one day after the last estimated delivery date, you can ask them to wait but they don’t have to.TimeLord1 said:Yes tell them to wait maximum 14 days it could be still stuck somewhere or a lazy postman has just chucked it through. Not much help now I know but a LL over 250g is £2.60 2nd Class and only £2.70 for Tracked 48, fully tracked and prioritised over 2nd Class it's well worth the extra 10p.hubb said:It was standard Royal Mail large letter at £2.60. When I put the code in it doesn't come up with any tracking details.
If the buyer wanted the book for Christmas and it's under a tenner I'd just refund with an apology and advise if it turns up after Christmas they can keep it, if it doesn't turn up them of course put in a claim.

That's because the number only shows once delivered, so it recognises the number you have entered, but there is no information at the moment. At this time of year, there are inevitably delays especially with 2nd class unfortunately.hubb said:When I type in the tracking number on the RM site I get the error "An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item"
