There are no grants available for gas boilers only for heat pumps which are unlikely to be suitable for a Victorian house. Both British Gas and Heatable offer 0% 4 year finance on a new boiler.

Being asset rich but cash poor is not a great place to be and older homes tend to be expensive to maintain, so if it is at all possible in the long term I would be looking to downsize to something more modern that is cheaper to run and and to free up some equity from you inheritance.0 -
