Millions of EE, O2, Three and Vodafone mobile users could get £1,000+ if new group legal claim wins
Millions of mobile users could get £1,000-plus payouts if a new group legal claim succeeds. Plans are afoot to take the four biggest mobile operators – EE, O2, Three and Vodafone – to court for overcharging customers. It's early days and nothing is guaranteed, but here's the current state of play...
They probably need to find all the customers unknowingly paying for Vodafones SecureNet. Had that several times myself even though I always told them not to add the free trial onto my account at the start. Always on the ball checking my Vodafone bill though so always caught at the very first incorrect payment.
One customer rep claimed I took out the free trial and had no answers as to why the free trial only started taking money some 7 or 9 months into the plan. 1 month or 3 month trial OK but 7/9 months? I also had proof of my request not to add the trial to my account at the start also.
I think another overcharge was Vodafone 360? Suddenly starting taking additional money for that even though it was not a 360 Phone?
