@{{{Hugs}}} @PipneyJane; chemo's not the best fun, but it does the trick...
Well, I'm horrified to end the month £75-odd over target. Misjudged that one majorly... Partly down to actually running out of a number of store-cupboard staples - must keep tighter tabs on the supply chain - and a few unanticipated visitors, but generally just everything costing more than I think it ought to! Also it was a 5-week month; it's not over yet but I do have everything in that we'll need until payday on 31st. Menu plan is sorted. Household numbers go back up to "normal" - well, it is for us - and dietary requirements (& preferences) get more convoluted - sigh!Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)4 -

Hope your recovery is speedy @PipneyJane x
Current spend £253.91 / £350 £96.09 remaining. It's looking good for the month with only a few days left but I'm having to relinquish control for the next two weeks and I'm leaving everything to the OH. Hoping he doesn't go mad with what's left as I'm hoping to roll most of it over to next month.Jan 2024 GC £287.21/£350

I've barely touched the vegetarian mains I bought for the freezer.
I have picked up plenty of fresh fruit and veg, plus have been using store cupboard stock.
I spent just under £5 yesterday and have £5 in the bulk fund with around £2 left.
I will double check and post what's left for this week.Decluttering campaign 2023

Grocery spending in January so far-
3rd Jan – £47.59 (weekly shop)
9th Jan – £41.05 (weekly shop)
11th Jan - £5.39 (small shop for milk and fizzy pop at Aldi)
17th Jan – £67.97 (weekly shop plus cleaning products/household items)
24th Jan – £55.39 (weekly shop)
Total - £217.39 out of my £240 budget and still another weekly shop to go...
I'm beginning to think my initial budget of £240 was a bit too low which isn't helped by the 5 Wednesday's in January (the day I usually shop). I will see how things go next month but I may need to up my budget by £20.
