You know life is full of spontaneous plans you never expected, we have a spare room without a bed since we never expected guests to show up in our life here as we both are expats, till something happened and we have 3 days to get a mattress till they arrived, and that is a decent time for standard amazon eta where most of the prime item come next day or same day, this item should have shown up, which unfortunately they failed to mention there is an error on their side till I called why its not dispatched after 3 days and they notice an issue on their system.Vectis said:Catsacor said:
Oh come on, seriously ? 🙄marcobdt said:
It's last minute announcement, I wont go to details as that is not related to this case, I made the order more than 3 days, so they have every effort to let me know if there is issues at their sidesammyjammy said:I think a lesson learned is that if someone is vital you go to a shop and buy it or plan in advance so delivery will be made in time. Surely they didn't fly two continents without you knowing before they left?
If you're not thinking two weeks ahead you're just inviting hassle.
If it was a last minute visitor then maybe they should consider staying in a local Travelodge until it's delivered.
Living this last minute life is full of headaches and hassle.Fair comment, but I'm just wondering why my very similar post saying that you really should have a bed in place before inviting guests to stay was deleted?I would have thought that was simply common sense?
So no, the main topic is about protection with prime day delivery guarantee which they are boasting here and there not about why I have no mattress before, its irrelevant0 -
Given it's taken you over 7 months to respond to that I'm assuming you received the mattress and have been kipping on it since Christmas?marcobdt said:You know life is full of spontaneous plans you never expected, we have a spare room without a bed since we never expected guests to show up in our life here as we both are expats, till something happened and we have 3 days to get a mattress till they arrived, and that is a decent time for standard amazon eta where most of the prime item come next day or same day, this item should have shown up, which unfortunately they failed to mention there is an error on their side till I called why its not dispatched after 3 days and they notice an issue on their system.

You should definitely sue them. £1000000 should cover it. Let us know how you get on.marcobdt said:You know life is full of spontaneous plans you never expected, we have a spare room without a bed since we never expected guests to show up in our life here as we both are expats, till something happened and we have 3 days to get a mattress till they arrived, and that is a decent time for standard amazon eta where most of the prime item come next day or same day, this item should have shown up, which unfortunately they failed to mention there is an error on their side till I called why its not dispatched after 3 days and they notice an issue on their system.
