I must admit, I am jealous of the physical envelopes. When @LittleMissDetermined mentioned opening the envelopes the other day, I felt like I'm really missing out, but then it makes it too difficult for me to achieve, so I'll have to stick online.0 -

I did the physical ones for this last year and used coloured envelopes, I will see if I can find a pic… this year I have a decent interest rate on my savings so I will be doing it virtually. Any interest I earn I can add to my sealed pot.Found the pictureLife gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £6573 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3364/£6000 | Travel savings £1508 | Sinking pots £25713

I'm loving all these envelopes and money tins @~FlowerPot~ and @LittleMissDetermined! So pretty and colourful.
I lacked discipline earlier this year and opened all the envelopes early and can't for the life of me remember what I spent it on! 🤦🏾♀️ So I'm adding mine to a poundland tin this year, that I can't open unless I hack it open with a tin opener. And I've made a tracker to help me stay motivated and cross them off as I go along. I'm determined to finish this time as it'll be such an achievement.Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

I'm off the starting blocks with my first payment of £26.50 transferred to a separate savings account.
Stupidly excited about this challenge 🤗. It was so lovely to be able to clear the cost of Xmas with the money saved, a great feeling to know that I am starting 2024 without Xmas debt 😇

I think it's useful for those joining this year to see how much we benefitted from doing this last year... I combined mine with my sealed pot challenge to cover Christmas, holiday spending money and my black Friday trip away. I also have some left over in my general savings pot!
Saving is definitely better than spending.
