Most of our nect@r points are collected through fleabay! You just add the card number to your account and it collects them automatically when you buy anything 😊 We don't use the shop much either (we do occasionally rack up some points in the cafe though 😊)

Tiptoes in and whispers... I've seen a couple of the creature comfort ads/trailers GP - always liked them and nice to see new ones appearing :)

Thanks Cheery - good to know 😁👍

Well, i did my errand.  The weather was a bit shonky, and i did get wet, but not soaked, so it wasn't too bad.  As much as anything, I am glad I took my gloves, the wind was cold.  I guess the walk was about 1.5miles 3 miles so it counts as my exercise for the day 😁 (WOW, I just mapped the distance of my walk and I'm astonished that it comes out as 1.5 miles each way.  Very pleased with that, as despite the rain showers, it wasn't an onerous walk).

I think I might whip up some soup for lunch.

Best get and do something.  Might even do a proper clean of the kitchen counter tops - that'd be something off the list.

I think I'm right in saying that you need to 'link' Argos to your nectar card. I have got a card but since we moved to an area with no Mr S the only time I use it is when we buy fuel from a filling station that accepts the card, or on fleabay. KA

It may be worth just checking that your Sainsbugs do take the money off to give the “N3ctar price” at the checkout, rather than issuing the difference as a voucher to use next time. Ours does the latter, which means that basically I never buy anything that is on the special price offer in there, because I don’t appreciate being told I will pay one price for the offer, when what they actually mean is “we’re going to charge you the price we have inflated but will then give you a short dated voucher which means if you want that cheaper price you have to shop here again sooner than you otherwise might”. I far prefer the way T’s do it with the CC price being the price you are charged. It sounds like it varies from S store to S store though as I know others have indeed just had the cheaper price right away.  They also fibbed to me about the priced being inflated when there is a card price offer on too - in spite of the fact that I know they price match their “love it or hate it” spread to T’s and others - but when the card price applied to it the “standard” price was 30p higher than it was anywhere else!

I hope your pizza is as good as ours was last night - I’m not sure whether it was the dough having been made previously and frozen, or whether that it had sat out for a good chunk of the day in it’s bag defrosting then re-proving but we ended up with gloriously thin crispy bases - really nice!

Oh heavens!  I didn't realise that - I assumed that it would work as you describe MrT's - or even MrL's works that way doesn't it?  Oh I would be ditching the card pretty quick if that is how MrS operate.  I mean, I don't agree with the 'special price' for some arrangement anyway, but if they then shift the goalposts again, to say actually, the price reduction applies tomorrow, and in fact, tomorrow never comes.....  Nah, not playing that game.  That's cynical retailing.  Thanks for the heads up EH.

I didn't realise that either, I shop there so rarely, it's pretty much only ever popping in for milk,  and then not often. Will investigate, thank you!

We have been alternating between bright sunshine and hailstones all morning 🙄 The minute I decided to do an outdoor job, the clouds arrive, and then after waiting a while, and deciding we're set in for hail, I start cooking or some other indoor activity, and the sun comes out again! Currently monitoring the oven with glorious sunshine streaming through the windows, most vexing! 😂
