What a lovely comment. I’m so glad you remember it and pop back for inspiration. And yes, Greyqueen was great. I might have a look for her.@Brie
Your painting is beautiful. I love the soft lines and muted colours. Painting is a joy but I was always into abstract patterns. More of a Mondrian/Kandinsky painter than a traditional drawer/realist. I’m no good at literal representations.11 -

@Wednesday2000 - I hope you enjoyed your bubble bath!!
@Brie - I love that painting! It's very soft and calming 🙂
I also paint abstract stuff (actually it's more of a chuck some colours on a canvas, splodge them around a bit and see what happens!! 😉😂) I don't paint often now but enjoy it when I do - I use oils and acrylics as I can't get on with watercolours for some reason....
My day has been lovely - just reading and relaxing mainly 🙂 Dinner was nice and there's plenty left so I won't have to cook tomorrow. I'm out for coffee in the morning with a relative I haven't seen for decades - once we're done I may go for a walk along the river and feed the ducks. I'm picking up my grandbaby from school for a sleepover later in the day so I'll be playing with trains most of the evening!! 😁

Just found this article - I do like the idea of exploring close to home. 😁

@dND - I like that idea!! 😁
I've had a lovely day, coffee with my relative was really nice, the river was peaceful and the ducks and swans were grateful, my grandbaby was full of life and we laughed and played for a few hours before he went to bed and dinner was leftovers so the food has been eaten and the kitchen cleaned. Dh is watching the footie and I'm drinking a sleepy tea. I'll be having an early night and I'll listen to rain music - a perfect day! 😁DNF: £708.92/£1000

Another chilled slow evening round at ours, DH doing jigsaw and me knitting. Fire lit and washing gently drying in front of it😁

Today has been nice - dd is over working but we spent some time before she started drinking coffee and chatting. I'm currently listening to 'new-age' music on YouTube, snuggling under a blanket and drinking a chamomile tea. I'm going to read my book soon - dinner is sorted so no need to do anything else today. Tomorrow looks better as far as the weather is concerned so I'm planning on a walk in the morning 😁DNF: £708.92/£1000

@leftatthetrafficlights, yes the lido is outdoors. It's chilly but so beautiful surrounded by trees and cliffs. I wear gloves and booties and two hats and only stay in for 15 mins.
When I get out I put on two onesies and stuff a hot water bottle down my front, then a dry robe and into the car for a brew.
I just love it12 -
@Florafauna - it sounds like an idyllic setting but I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to get in!! 😳😂
We're nearly at the end of two weeks of almost exclusively using up stuff we have in the house for dinners so from tomorrow I'm going to ease up a bit on that. Although it's all been pretty healthy, I feel that I haven't had enough salads/veg/fruit and that I've eaten too many white bread products (pittas, naan, wraps) this week and I'm feeling sluggish. Tonight I'll finish off the remaining leftovers then from tomorrow I'll be back to eating more salads etc. It will increase costs but nothing is more important than being and feeling healthy so I'm okay with that - I'll still use lots of storecupboard/freezer stuff though!
Today I've had a peaceful morning - I've done 3 loads of laundry, sorted the dishwasher, had a quick clean up, had a shower and have listened to some music. This afternoon I'm doing some writing and reading and drinking tea - I'm looking forward to it!!

Whilst I have continued to read all the posts, and throughly enjoyed finding out about everyone’s slow living, I haven’t posted as this week has just been so busy.
I really want to improve this, so I went for a walk (with Smudge) first thing this morning, and was rewarded by the sight of 2 deer and a glorious sunrise. I made myself pause to enjoy and breathe, and it was heavenly.
Thanks to everyone for posting, I’m loving hearing about how you are all embracing slow living, it’s giving me lots of food for thought
