leftatthetrafficlights , to hurkle-durkle is to lie in bed beyond the time you should have got up. (Not sure what went through your mind🤣) It was my New Year resolution to spend more time doing this as I’ve always been an early riser and rush about ‘doing’ from the outset. As they say I am a human being not a human doing!I make leaded stained glass windows. I started about 3 years ago. I was a teacher for many years and after a traumatic end to my career I tried a few things and then went on a course and it’s spiralled from there. It’s lovely to think there are doors and windows dotted up and down the country that I have built. I never intended for it to be a business and I’m closing commissions for a while as sometimes it’s better for me to just make panels I design and love rather than dance to another’s tune. They generally sell well as stand alones anyway so I’m happy. 😊16

@Slowdown, that's an epic saying - I love it!! 😂😂😂 The stained glass sounds lovely, please do post piccies if you can (I appreciate it may be unwise due to commercial sensitivity though 🤔)
The house has been cleaned, I've shredded an entire bins worth of paper & cardboard and I've started the first lot of soaking for the firebricks 🙌😁
The meal plan for the week is as follows:
Monday - potato, chickpea, kale and berebere okara loaf curry (the okara loaf is diced and put in the curry) with garlic and coriander naan and chutneys
Tuesday - I'm using the other half of the loaf tomorrow for enchilada pie which I'll serve with salad
Wednesday - leftovers
Thursday - haggis burgers with sweet potato wedges, garlic french beans and brussel sprouts in orange and ginger
Friday - freezer surprise
Saturday - tuscan kale and white bean soup with homemade bread
I'm going to make dinner shortly then I'm going to relax and read my book 😁DNF: £708.92/£1000

I have never heard the expression Hurkle Durkle!🤩
I had to get up and go out early to get my eyebrows coloured and shaped. I really didn't feel like going out in this cold weather, but at least that is done. It lasted over 2 months last time.
I charged my kindle as I intend to stay in and read this week as I don't fancy venturing outside until it warms up. I am just on the sofa with a hot water bottle with my dog at the moment.8 -
Art class this afternoon. It's always good fun, a nice challenge and a bit mucky. I have gesso on my fingers and doubt I'll be able to get it all off before going to work tomorrow. No matter, will give me something to chat with my boss about and remind me to book my selfish* day off. I'm looking for an art class to do mid week so will need to track down something.
*can't actually remember what these are called but work allows an occasional random day off on the basis that you don't use it for something practical. It's meant to be a day you do something for yourself that helps recharge your batteries.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Here’s a few recent ones. I know nothing about commercial sensitivity so 🤷♀️. The first one is in my own house.Hurkle-durkle is a Scottish word. I’m not Scottish but always say it in a Scots accent because it sounds great. 🤣31

I also love the stained glass.
I am loving slow January evenings at present, swimming at the lido then home for knitting and cups of tea in front of the fire. DH doing jigsaws, it's really cosy9
