No template. Have a look at the photos on the PPC's website (go as if to pay the charge, that will allow access to view all they have on your father) to see if there are any that prove categorically that the BB was not displayed. Often the photography can be a bit sloppy.

If it's clear no BB was showing, then I'd play on your father being disabled (elderly? forgetful as part of condition? terrible weather conditions? busy car park, congestion at Christmas?) and pray in aid the Equality Act 2010 which puts an onus on landowners/retailers/service providers etc to make reasonable adjustments on behalf of those with a disability. Have a read up on the Act.

Was the parking event at a retail park or at a single retail outlet (or elsewhere)?  If a retail park, then the managing agent is the organisation to approach - those like Savills and Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL) are well acquainted with the EA 2010 and have been very helpful in the past.

Remember - everything must be in your father's name. You can do the donkey work, but always in his name.
    Thank you for the information.

    1. I followed what you advised and unfortunately the pictures clearly show the badge wasn't displayed.

    2. Will look into what Act and complain accordingly.

    3. Yes it's a retail park. I looked into their website and there are 3 contacts. Which one should I be complaining to?

    Thank you again!

  • Just try all 3. See if you can find email addresses for them unless you can record the telephone conversations.
  • I found the email for the contact manager.
Can you please advise if this email is okay to send ? Or anything I need to add/ remove?

    Thank you

I am writing this email as I have received a charging park notice. The reason why I received it is because I parked in a disabled spot without displaying a blue badge. However, this was a genuine mistake as I do hold a valid blue badge as I am heavily disabled. I live local to the Manchester fort thus being my local point to shop. I visit the retail park very often and this is the first time I have made a honest mistake. I believe this happened due to the busy Christmas period which made finding a disabled spot very difficult thus had a negative impact on me. Unfortunately as I am disabled the busy periods have a impact on me. Furthermore, my health conditions make me forgetful. I was hoping you can reverse this charge notice due to the honest error which was linked to my disability and take into consideration the Equality Act 2010. I appreciate your help.

    Kind regards,

    No

It should start with a clear COMPLAINT:

I am complaining about the harassment I have suffered at the hands of your agent (name the parking firm)...

    Remove this:
The reason why I received it is because I parked in a disabled spot without displaying a blue badge.
And it's not a 'charging park notice.'

Attach a copy of your Blue badge and get ANGRY about this harassment.

    Kind regards,

Is this okay? Also I had a another question as this email will be sent out to the manager at the retail park. If he doesnt reply within the time limit will I have to pay the full amount of the fine ?

    Thank you all

    Kind regards,
No 'kind regards' in a complaint. It's a business-style letter.  'Dear Sirs/Yours faithfully'.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Sorry for the back and forth.. First time doing this.  Grateful for your tips!

Just kind of worried if the manager takes a long time to reply. Will I then have to pay the full £100?

    Thanks all!
