Are there any UK bank accounts for adults that provide a book instead of a card?

Are there any banks in the UK that offer accounts for adults, and give them a book to log the balance, instead of a debit card / online banking?
The reason I am interested is because I like to have a stash of money that is harder for me to touch. With online banking, it's too easy to dip into my emergency funds. I currently get around this by keeping cash in the house (I hate spending cash / dealing with coins, so I never touch it) but due to the risk of theft, I never keep that much. I would like to keep more 'harder to spend' cash in the house, but then I thought maybe a bank account with a book would be better for safety.
I know there are still banks that do the book for kids accounts - are there any that do them for adults? And are there any alternatives for me to consider? I was thinking of things like credit unions but I don't know much about them. I just want an account where I can store my cash and the only way to withdraw it is to go to a branch.

I will check them out though, thanks for the idea.0 -
I think all the banks have either phased passbooks out, or they're in the process of doing so. A building society is probably your only option.

I am quite surprised as apart from kids accounts, I thought they were a thing of the past...glad it's not the case as it ticks all my boxes!0 -
I'm quite amazed too as I thought passbooks disappeared decades ago.
Check the interest rates as they may have lower interest rates to cover the cost of branches.1 -
Would a notice account deter you from spending it?0

I agree an account with a pass book might pay slightly lower interest.
On the other hand, notice savings and fixed term accounts pay slightly more in return for keeping hold of your money for a time, which should be just what you are looking for.
Here are MSE's suggestions:https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/savings-accounts-best-interest/#notice and here: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/savings-accounts-best-interest/#fixedsavings

5 or so years back I had an account with Principle (somewhere over towards Wales) and they had a book that could be updated it your cared to post it back to them. Not sure they will do but it was lovely as I hadn't had an account book for a couple of decades.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. I have a Yorkshire BS instant access account which pays 3.45% iirc. You can register to manage the account online (and I do) but you get a passbook and can just use that, either in a branch or by post.
