Im trying to stock up for our new kitty. Oh but he is so cute. A little rescue boy called Frankie and I adore him even though he is becoming a daddy’s boy!
Morrisons have a special offer on Felix box of 40 sachets cat food. Was £13.99 now £9.99 for the Morrisons points card holders. Who knows how long the offer will last and Frankie likes it. Have 2 boxes on storage shelf and have just added another 2 to my end of January shop.dND have you tried Freecycle/Freegle for anything you need? aim my area there have been quite a few “vintage” items which I prefer as they are usually of better quality and made to last.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

My bedroom here is stacked with the offers that I couldn't let go by and there isn't any room for anything else - there's barely room for me now! 😁
I've got the 2 thrift books mentioned earlier arriving soon - I thought about asking at the library but I take ages to read anything. I start then I get bored, put it down and pick up another book, read a bit of that etc. etc.. According to my DS1 and DDiL, it's very ADHD something that my DS1 has strong tendencies of along with my DD and DS2. Then I forget I have the books unless they are right in front of me or something jogs my memory about them. I was always ending up with fines or taking back unfinished books as a child.Aiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

The Approved Food website has had regular offers on pet food recently, but I don't have a cat or a dog, so I don't know if the food is really a good price (it's branded food on discount; the non-brand may still be cheaper).

Thank you for all the pet food updates. I'll take a look at Approved, I don't have a Morrisons car, we did manage to get free delivery on some reduced online but as the cats need fed every night indefinitely, keeping a stock of food is ongoing.
I've just ordered a load of seasoned logs as there's no way we are going to have enough cur and dried for this winter. I had 3 choices - well dried larch £240, mixed £280 or hardwood £320. Suffice to say, I opted for the larch as I find it easier for splitting.
Totalled up my spends to date and gave now altered my signature so I can chart them in there.I reserve the right not to spend.

I only discovered today that you can get audio books free on library online. So you don’t need a subscription to audible or others. They offer ebooks, e - audiobooks, e - magazines, e - newspapers and e- music. There is no cost. I think you can have for three weeks but that may be dependent on area.Definitely going to be something I take advantage of, especially for cookbooks. I need an air fryer book but I would rather borrow one for free and copy out what I need.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

I love the online library and audiobooks @suzeesu2000 It's not such a good selection as hardcopy books in the library, but you never need to worry about fines as they are returned automatically 😁Live the good life where you have been planted.

Still trying to be frugal here and have signed up to a cashback site for when I have to buy stuff - the TopC** one which seems to work OK on the laptop but not had things tracked via the in-store app.
However, the Big River store doesn't give cashback which riles me considering how much profit they make and how little tax they pay.
But...I've found that if you do have to use them, they do pay cashback to your nominated charity if you register with Easyfundraising. It may not be much but it pleases me if the multi-billionaires get a little less and my local wildlife charity gets a little more.😁😁Aiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

No NSD for 3 days now. There always seems to be something, DH's bus fares, milk, dog food, etc. Plus our dividing fence came down in the recent gales and hopefully it won’t be too expensive for DH and our neighbour to fix it.
On the plus side there’s been a few wins like free moisturiser sample through the post, £2 Amazon voucher from a survey, half a dozen windfall apples, £5.89 of backdated rewards from O2 Airtime Rewards. DH converted his WoW points (shopping reward scheme through his employer) and topped it up with 3p to get a £20 Amazon gift card. I love books and I'm a Kind1e addict so I add books I want to a wishlist and buy them when they're reduced to 99p.£20 will keep me going for a while! I like the idea of the audio books from library online @suzeesu2000
I’ve some M@rkies vouchers so I’ll use these to buy milk and fresh veg tonight. Hopefully there will be a few yellow labels bargains worth getting.
Off out with the dog for a walk over the fields. It’s barely above freezing here so at least when I get home the house will feel very warm despite the heating being set to low!
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.15 -

I use Sainsburys for Nectar points. Collect all year and my Christmas shop cost me nothing with money left over. This year we got a new kitty cat so I did the pet insurance with them too - earned 8000 points! The cost was comparable with others so I got a double good deal. Bought a small carpet cleaner for mum in September and got 500 points for that as Argos do points too- oh and you can link to ebay as well. Its surprising how the points add up even when youre being frugal.
