Early shopping trip to Asda this morning, had a gift card on my phone to use as part of the payment and the self-service machine went down during the transaction. Ended up paying in cash and was assured the gift card would be recredited, we will see, added £1.00 to my Christmas Saver.
Off out to lunch for DS birthday and my mother is coming too, will be lovely to see them. DS requested a cheesecake instead of a Birthday Cake this year, made and chilling in the fridge. Birthday lunch payment has been budgeted for.
Wardrobe has been taken apart ready to go to the local tip, not good enough to rehome as it was years old, not in the best condition. Bedroom painting will start tomorrow.

Happy new week.
Woke up this morning feeling anxious and overwhelmed, get day like this, so I have made a work list for the next four days, have annual leave on Friday, days and a home list. Both lists are pretty long, will be good to cross off each task.
Today is an office and community day, so now much will get done at home. Do have a joint of ham in the slow cooker, will make a big batch of pea and ham soup tomorrow and use the rest for an evening meal and lunches for the rest of the week.
Yesterday we went to the land of the flat pack furniture and bought a tall chest of drawers to replace the wardrobe. Also picked up two packs of the storage cubes to go in the drawers. £139.00 spent from the house fund. Mr D has made a start on the painting and we will finish the room next weekend. I have ordered new bedding from Next that I will pick up this week, I have challenged myself to pay for this from surveys, see how are I get by the time the payment is due. I have been putting off buying new bedding for a while due to menopause symptoms, these are now much less, thankfully.
Today will be a NSD as I am leaving my purse at home so not to be tempted to spend any money.

Its the small things in life that make you smile.
Dry laundry outside on a line.
Drinking a cup of tea while sitting outside in the winter sun.

That's Tuesday over with.
Been a busy work day, spend most of the day out and about, catching up with clients. Early finish as I had an early start.
Going to venture into the loft and make a start sorting my eBay stock that is up there. Pea and ham soup will also be made this evening. Ham joint cooked beautifully, will be having ham salad for dinner later.

I use Leo peas, cook until they are soft not mushy.
In the stock I put small dice of carrots, onions and celery along with about 2 pints of water and cook until soft.
Then I add the peas and small diced new potatoes. Cook until the potatoes are soft.
I then take out some of the soup and blend and return to the pan along with the diced ham.
I don't add any salt during cook as the ham is salty, if needed I add salt at the end along with pepper.
I portion up and freeze easy lunches and dinners.
There are loads of different recipes online.

Happy St David's Day!
I have lost my savings mojo over the last few week, work has been full on and I have not been feeling 100%, yesterday was payday and I didn't even do the account shuffles. February was not an horrendous money saving month, it just could have been better.
Determined March will be a better month, off to move money around, before I start getting ready for work.

its hard to keep it up continuously, life just gets in the way!!. What is important is coming back to it and refocusing. I have found changing things up helps. Or motivating myself with a small challenge which is acheivible quite quickly.cheering you on from the sidelines!!flowers x♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025
