    Happy Sunday!

Glad January has gone as I find it a rather long month, February I find is a much better month. February is also my DS's birthday month and he will be 30 this year. Will go out for a nice meal as he is not one for large celebrations. Birthday pot will cover this.

Yesterday I did a small grocery shop as we are definitely living out of the freezer  and cupboard for the next month. Will only need to buy fresh fruit, veg etc. Small freezer will by going into the shed when its empty, so hopefully by the end of the month.

DS was here yesterday moving electrical sockets in the kitchen, small amount of work created so much dust, kitchen has had a wipe over, not touched the other rooms yet, surprising how far the dust travels. Mr D plans to take the tile off the walls toady so there will be more dust, will have a good clean through of downstairs tomorrow, before work.

My job for today is to photograph a large pile of clothes ready to list later, want to reduce my clothes by half , as many have not been worn for a good few years. Tend to wear the same things most of the time, working for home doesn't help with this, work wear is sometime PJ's (clean) and a hoodie.

    Hello,

Just finished another long working week, even though it was only four days. Work is getting very busy at the moment. :(  Didn't help this week that I am full of a cold, coughed and sneezed my way through the whole week. I am hoping I will feel better next week and had a bit more energy.

Kitchen is now finished and we are extremely please with the finished result, first payment goes out on May 1st, decided it's another payment going out of the account and not to get worked up by the debt word.

No plans for the weekend, just a small food shop tomorrow and a walk around the village, have a few books I need to drop off at the charity shop. Decluttering is going well, though I have lost count of the total items as we have done so many tip runs in the last few weeks, still a fair bit to declutter.

Opened a new ISA this week and set myself a new challenge how much can I save in the ISA year. This will be where all my extra pennies will go. It's pay day next week so need to look at next months budget ,something I will look at this weekend.

    D.x

Hope you are feeling better Doris. I bet your kitchen looks lovely now it’s finished. Good luck with paying it off and topping up the isa. I’m sure you’ll smash it

    Happy Bank Holiday Monday!

Making the most of the day before I go back to work tomorrow after a week away. The weather was amazing and the cottage was very lovey and restful. Back with batteries recharged.

Its pay day on Friday so I am going to spend an hour going over my budget. Been watching a lady on YouTube who is semi retiring in a couple of months, her content has focused my mind to start focusing on where I want to be  in the next couple of years and make a plan.

Have a line of washing out and one in the machine doing its thing, after the dog had a upset tummy this morning and had an accident in his bed. Was planning on going out today, instead we are having a home day, have plenty to do.

    Thankfully will be a NSD.

    Happy Sunday.

How has June got here so fast? the year is flying by,

Today has been a NSD despite a visit to a local recycling centre shop, no item really stood out shouting buy me!  The weather is not the greater here at the moment sunny one minute, heavy rain the next, have had to keep an eye on the washing drying on the line. Did manage to get one line full dry.

My aim this month is self-care, something I have been neglecting lately, currently have a hair mask on as my hair is feeling very dry. Also need to make a GP appointment tomorrow as I have had a pain in my elbow for a few weeks and is very sharp when I try and pick something up.

Also aiming for a low spend month, as the last few weeks have been very spendy. Will make lunch in a bit to take to work tomorrow instead of buying from a shop, bad habit I have got into, when I work from the office.

    NSD 1/15.

Self care sounds like a great idea Doris. Good to look after yourself. I will try and join you in a low spend month.

    Happy Tuesday.

Weather here today is cold and raining, so much so the dog would not go out for his walk this morning, so I had a little productive hour painting the downstairs office door. I painted the woodwork in the hall, stairs and landing black at the end of last year, I have had a tin of hardwearing satin paint that I am planning to go over them all with. One down four to go.

    Yesterday was a NSD. 2/15.

I did by petrol £20.07,I do not count this item in my NSD challenge because it comes from car car pot and I see it as a work related item

WFH today, will have to pop out late this afternoon to drop off some paperwork, that will take all of 20 minutes. No plan to go near any shops.
