Great news about the decluttering, the voucher and walking past all the shops!

Glad you are feeling better, hope it's gone soon.  There seems to be a lot of nasty bugs around.

Busy day, been out and about, having a cuppa before I finish the rest of my working day.

Sold a steamer for £20.00 this morning and the money has gone into the holiday saving tin. Mr D has taken all the items to the recycling centre this morning from the side of the house. Decluttered items 46/2025,will get some more items listed over the weekend and hopefully they will be gone soon too. Did take a large bag of chocolates into the office this morning, that another thing out of the house.

Another NSD taking my total up to 10/15, very impressed with myself. Tomorrow we need to do a grocery shop, fridge is looking very empty. I have a gift card that we are going to use, hopefully no cold hard cash will be spent.

Well done on the decluttering Doris. Good price you got for the steamer too. You are doing well with the NSD’s.

I caved today as I had to pay for parking so I bought some socks 😂😂
I do tend to get socks when I seen them in tkmax as there's a brand that I like, not they don't very often have them!

Thank you @~FlowerPot~ always pick up bargains when I see them as I known I will regret not doing so later.

We have had water coming into one of our bedrooms and when Mr D looked up at the roof a couple of the tiles have moved. Had a roofer call yesterday and we need a new roof, we knew we would need one in the next few years , just not yet. We have a house fund that has enough to fund the project, so its getting done next month. 2025 looks like the year of big house projects.

So the decluttering will really get underway in the next few weeks as we empty the loft and there is a lot of stuff up there. Need to take the garden furniture out of the Summer House today to store the loft stuff. I imagine I will find long forgotten business purchases. Next few weeks are going to be busy with the kitchen and loft.

Yesterday we did a grocery shop and used a gift card we were given for Christmas and I forgot to pick up dog food, so today will be a spend day. Have a parcel that needs to go to the parcel shop, returning Christmas window lights that stopped working after a week.  Mr D did take the parcel last week and couldn't get the QR code to print the label, fingers crossed I have more luck.

Eek to the new roof Doris, glad you have the funds to cover it.

The loft in my old house was full of mostly DS’s stuff so I just took my stuff and found places for it in my new house or got rid. I made a decision not to use the loft now as I was struggling to get up the loft ladder.

Good luck with the parcel 🤞

Hope you manage to get the parcel posted.

Eek to the new roof but it will be good to have it sorted before you retire.

@Skint_yet_Again parcel must have been a man thing, no trouble scanning the code. There wont be as much going back up there when the work is complete.

@jwil will be another job ticked off the list.

    Good afternoon,

Very late lunch break, had a busy work day. Today has been a spend day, needed milk as I used the last this morning, called into a supermarket that has just open in our area today and they were giving away free goodie bags, had some posh crisps, cookies and a bottle of flavoured water, cost much more than the milk.

    NSD 13/15.

Operation empty the loft is going well, most of the items are going into the summer house for now and will be sorted before they return to the loft. Christmas decorations will definitely be sorted, can believe how much we have. One Christmas tree has is waiting to go to the tip, worked out its about 30 years old, so definitely had our moneys worth.

Declutter items that have left the house stands at 69, slow and steady will win this race. Car boot and listing pile are growing, been listing a few items a day, have some big items I need to put on market place.

Better get back and finish the rest of my working day.

    Good morning,

Wet and very windy here this morning, will be staying inside today in the warm.

Decluttering is going well 86/2025, just had a black bag full of padded envelops leave the house, about 100, these were in the loft and I know they have been up there a couple of years. There is still some stuff in the loft, that needs to be moved to the summer house, still have a few boxes that need to be recycled, please with the progress being made.

Half the kitchen has been taken out and gone to the tip, DS will be moving sockets next weekend, so he has a clear space to work in. A lot of the kitchen stuff is now also in the summer house and will be sorted when it come back in after the kitchen refit.

Monet wise is looking good, have has 17/15 no spend days and should manage another 3 before the end of the month. My 6 month fixed rate save matures next month so I need to think about where this is going to go, possibly to the ISA.

Final used up the last of the Christmas veg today, sprouts, cabbage, carrots and potatoes, we will be having a mini roast using some chicken portions that were in the freezer.

    D.x
