Saving For Early Retirement

Monday morning come around so quickly.
The rain is horrible here this morning, just been to put the recycling out for collection and have go soaked. Today is a out and about day, I have a meeting booked at a drop in centre this afternoon and I don't think my client will turn up if this rain continues.
Pay day on Thursday, looking out for my payslip as we are having a back date from out pay rise we received a few months ago and my regular save matures the same day, this is my Christmas savings, will need to more some back to my emergency fund as I borrowed some for Christmas shopping, over the last few weeks.
Also need to cancel my old pet insurance this morning, don't want it to auto renew, as I have bought new insurance.

But it is so pokey, a new kitchen wont stop it being too small, so we have just sort of got used to it, but really must do something soon to spruce it up a bit!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Good morning,
The year is going so fast, with 2025 just around the corner, I need to start thinking about goals I want to achieve, will raid my notebook stash and start making plans.
Today we are going to do some more Christmas shopping, need a few bit for my DS. Will be going to M&S, have £40 in dog walking vouchers to use, will pick up some nice biscuit and chocolate. we don't buy loads of food for the Christmas period, unlike years ago when I would start picking up things in August. Inherited this trait for my mother, we lived in a small valley with few shops, she would start her Christmas shopping in August and everything would go into our Christmas cupboard, she was very good with money and we never went without.
Will also be calling into the local recycling shop to see what treasure I can find, on the look out for vintage bits for my new shop. Tomorrow the local cricket club has a table top sale which I am looking forward to.
Need to write next weeks meal plan, currently running down my small freezer as this will be going when we have the new kitchen next year.

Our kitchen is small, just wrongly designed, Mr D fitted the kitchen a few years before I moved in with him, it about 18 years old, way passed it best.

What a horrible rain filled weekend we have had, there has been lots of local flooding where rivers have broken there banks. Feel very sad for the people involved, heart breaking to watch news coverage. Haven't seen the news and weather yet, I do hope Bert is getting ready to leave us. Mr D has taken the dog for a walk while there is a break in the rain, they will be back soon.
Today I need a new tyre for the car and to renew by breakdown cover, spending will come from the car pot. Also need to pick up my last Christmas gift later this morning, just now need to wrap everything up. Having kitchen, bathroom and utility measured for flooring which will get fitted along with the kitchen in March.

Happy Saturday,
Work was extremely busy yesterday, Christmas is coming and things seem to start moving that require immediate attention. No more thought of work until Monday.
Pay day yesterday and its still sitting in my main account, will do my money shuffle shortly and a few listing to my shop that I have been neglecting.
Meeting my DS and mother for breakfast this morning, which I am looking forward too.

The weekend always seem to fly by. I have 17 working days until Christmas annual leave and I have a funny feeling its going to be a busy 17 days, judging by thr email I have received this morning when I logged into my work account.
Today I am working from home, have to go out a lunchtimes for a meeting in a local meeting centre. Will be a NSD as i am not taking my purse along.
Planning on 12 NSD's in December, hopefully a few more. Have a few gifts still to buy, will get them on Saturday when we go to a lovely near by town.
Christmas food is paid for, picking up butchers order on 23rd and will do a big Asda shop on the 22nd with our Christmas savings. Put the tree up yesterday, so far baby boy dog has left it alone, fingers crossed may this continue. He is such a destructive dog, nothing like our last girl dog.
Time for a cuppa before I get stuck into the work emails.

Great prices on the tyre and breakdown cover! My breakdown is due for renewal in January. I paid £63.84 with flag of green last year so I am dreading to think what it will be this year. That’s for everything apart from driving abroad. Do you mind sharing who you have yours with?Glad doggo has left the tree alone!0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
