    Thank you SYA.

Mr D went and picked the airer yesterday, fits nicely into the space in the middle bedroom, Its a winged one, hopefully the clothes will dry better, need to look at getting a dehumidifier to go in there as well.

Pay day today. Will do my accounts shuffle before I leave for my morning appointments. Found a regular saver I want to open, tried yesterday, because its with my currant bank, I cant open one until my current regular saver is closed, this will be by the end of the week. Also found a fixed rate bond that I will open by the end of the week.

  • Airer sounds like a useful buy. Good luck with the regular saver and fixed term bond. I hope interest rates stay high for me reinvesting in February although I do feel for those paying mortgages.

    Happy October.

Out and about day today, have a parcel in need to drop off on the way. Feeling rather overwhelmed when I looked at my work to-do list this morning. Once I start ticking things off I know I will feel better, going to try and get a few of the smaller job done before I leave in a hour.

No raining at the moment, have a load in the washing machine, no doing to chance the line today as just in case it rain, will use my new clothes airer later.

Today will be a NSD, my purse will be staying at home.

    Good morning.

WFH today as I have a parcel being picked up alter this morning. Today will be my third NSD of the month, need to get my act together, spends have been on small items, could have been avoided if I had planned better.

Fixed 1 year bond and regular saver an now both in place. Do need to  look for new Pet Insurance when my renewal quote arrives sometime this week. Car has its MOT and services  on Friday, hopefully wont be too expensive, there were a few advisories last year, something to do with the exhaust if I remember correctly, have a healthy balance in the car pot so hopefully cover the cost.

I am hoping the day will stay dry so I can get a line of washing out when the machine finished doing its thing.

  • Good news on the bond & saving account.

Pet insurance is so expensive and difficult to move unless they have no pre-existing medical conditions. Hope you get good cover cheaper.

Good luck with the mot 🤞

@Skint_yet_Again car passed MOT and had a service total cost £162.00 which I was pleased about, will need a new tyre in a few weeks, that will be another £50.00, so glad the money is all ready and waiting in the car pot.

Haven't sorted pet insurance yet as the renewal letter has not arrived, if I have received anything by the middle of new week I will give them a ring.

Been a shopping day, bought paint and wall paper for our next project, hall, stairs and landing. Bare plaster has started to drive me mad, been looking at it since May, while the other rooms have been getting done. This will be the last project before Christmas, need new stair carpet as well, dog decided to chew the bottom part as the carpet meets the tiled floor when he was a puppy.

Bought two rolls of very bold colourful wallpaper that will tie all the colours in the house together nicely, paid £28.00 per roll and that was not the most expensive in the shop, when did wallpaper become so expensive?

Off to a car boot tomorrow weather dependant, need new stock as I have decided to open a new vintage shop on another selling platform, very excited for this project, feels like I am getting my mojo back for reselling.

WFH this morning, had an hour off to take the dog for his annual booster injection, cost £53.00. Out and about this afternoon, been a busy old day.

Pet insurance renewal had arrived when I got home, will be looking for a new quote tomorrow, price has gone up by £100. Will try and get a quote for the same as I was paying last year, with hopefully some cashback.

This morning was spent kitchen shopping and a deposit has been paid. We have the money to pay for the kitchen outright however have decided to take out 0% finance for 5 years. If we need to pay off early the money will be sitting in a savings account earning some interest.
Went we were thinking about moving putting in a new kitchen was not something we wanted to do, as plans have change a new kitchen is much needed as the current one is about 17 years old and well passed it best. Our current kitchen has limited storage space, we have made use of the ceiling high and planned the kitchen to work for us. Excited for March when we are planning the instal. This will be the last large project that needs doing in the house. So as of March back in debt however on this occasion there will be something to show for the debt.

  • I wouldn’t think of it as a debt if you have the savings to pay it off in full. Isn’t that just stoozing if you use a 0% card instead?

    Happy new kitchen 🥳
