Recently moved into a new build 3 bed bungalow. The registering valuation of my council tax banding is an E. 4 neighbours also with 3 bed bungalows, two either side of me are a band D. I am with in the time frame to ask for a re-evaluation. Has anyone requested this and been successful? How and what do you need to provide as evidence? Any help with this would be awesome!
Hi about 10 years ago I did. Similar properties in my street were a lower band. I challenged it which resulted in a site visit. They reduced the band, and gave me the difference in money back since I moved in. I can't remember the specifics as they only refund back to a certain point, but recommend viewing this link - https://www.gov.uk/challenge-council-tax-band
