British Airways flight delay

Hi, looking for some advice me and my family were delayed on a BA flight from Chicago to Manchester Airport via London Heathrow over eight hours. It has been over three months now since I registered a claim they have agreed to pay compensation the full amount almost 2 weeks ago now still nothing in the bank no help from ba helpline. How long should I wait before trying to escalate?

If you have written confirmation that they'll pay the compensation, issued less than two weeks ago, then it's unlikely that they'll renege on that, so chances are that being patient will be the most pragmatic approach, unless they committed to paying within a certain timeframe that they've exceeded?
  • Hey! That's frustrating. I'd give it a bit more time, like another week, and then shoot them a polite follow-up email or message. If that doesn't work, consider escalating. Patience is key, but you deserve your compensation. Good luck! 🤞✈️
