Lottie Road car park unfair fine

My daughter entered this private car park (previously mentioned on this forum) for a total of 10 minutes whilst her friend went to collect a prescription from a nearby pharmacy. There were no spaces on the road so she waited in the car for the duration. She has now received a PCN for £60 (reduced from £100) which I believe to be unfair as the engine was running and she remained in the driver’s seat for the duration of her time in the car park. Does she have any claim to appeal the charge?

Engine running is irrelevant.  Never drive into private car parks.

Firstly, was the driver unaware that it's allowed to wait on double yellow or single yellows (on street) for this purpose?  It's what those lines are there for and permit.

Please tell the drivers in your family to use the street (no bay needed) and not to seek out private car parks for quick loading/ passenger pick up.
On street you can't get a PCN by ANPR (for parking events) except for doing awful stuff like stopping on a crossing, school zig zags or bus lane.

    Anyway which PPC?

Is the NTK shown in my thread of NTK pictures and is it POFA compliant?

OK - and you will have seen (when you went and looked at my thread I signposted you to go read) that we don't yet have a NTK example from them.

Awaiting your pics of both sides please.

Manor Parking are an IPC member company, but it is still important to know if the NTK was or was not PoFA compliant. To determine this, compare the NTK with the PoFA 2012 that is linked from the NEWBIES, or can be found using an internet search engine of your choice.

If you are unsure, please show us both sides of the NTK, redact personal information, but leave all dates showing.

I believe to be unfair as the engine was running and she remained in the driver’s seat for the duration of her time in the car park.
How do you imagine an ANPR camera can differentiate between someone sitting in a car with the engine running.
Unfortunately this old myth has been blown out of the water in the modern day era of parking scammoligy.
Follow the advice on here now but forget that as an excuse it won't get you anywhere.

Non-PoFA worded.  No keeper liability (as already explained in the NEWBIES thread).

But there's no appeal worth a consumer trying. IPC Firms are best ignored these days.  There is no POPLA, if this is an IPC AOS firm.

IMHO, their Trade Body provides no fair or independent appeal service that consumer reviews and their own - now unavailable - archive Annual Reports suggest is worth trying.

Their bad.  Let them dig their holes.

They seem very good at it, from my perspective.  Ignore IPC AOS parking firms.

DO NOT PAY PCNs FROM IPC AOS FIRMS.

It's only a one man outfit, one that very rarely appears on this forum, so the chances of a court claim are minimal.

Personally, I would make an initial appeal as keeper using the template in blue text from the NEWBIES, and add a one liner that since the NTK is not PoFA compliant on either dates or wording, the keeper cannot be held liable so they should cancel now to save themselves money.
