Stuck in 3 year Contract with YGP

Good Morning, I am in need of some help. We seem to be stuck in a 3 year contract with YGP and cannot leave until 2025-
We do not have any email or E signature stating this contract was authorised, and the third party who did it, has now gone bust. Blue Bank.
I have raised a complaint with YGp but was hoping someone out there has a bit of information on how they can keep us locked in for 2 more years.

I think more detail will be needed before anyone can help.
E.g.
Is this a domestic or commercial suppply?
Is it a contract you agreed to?
Have you a copy of the agreement?
Who are Blue Bank and how do they fit into the picture?
Experts may know something about these companies but I don't know who Blue Bank is.0 -
Sounds like a business contract and they are generally difficult to get out of.
As above more info required.0 -
You went to Bluebank Solutions and arranged your energy supply through them and they put you into a contract with Yorkshire Gas and Power ?What paperwork have you ever received from either organisation ?Fairly likely it will be watertight unless you can prove some sort of fraud.0

Assuming this is a commercial/business contract, who authorised the third party that did instigate the contract?,presuming yourself.
There's very little in the way of protection for business contracts compared to domestic supplies,as your deemed to be competent regarding business matters, unfortunately your pretty much tied to the contract that you,or someone acting on your behalf agreed to really.
It's possible that you might be able to buy your way out of the contract but likely to be expensive and leaving you to find an alternative supplier, playing devils advocate possibly here, what's changed twelve months into a thirty six month agreement that you now wish to back out of?.0 -
Did you ever provide an authorisation letter to the broker to be able to negotiate on your behalf? The brokers i have worked with always wanted one, on letterhead, and their templates were time limited but I understand some send out an “until revoked” version.

Sounds like you signed up to a 3 year fixed deal, and now regret it as you can get cheaper and want out of it on a technicality...0

Thank you for the comments,
Yes it is a commercial business contract. Blue Bank are the "third party" and No, we do not have any emails or letters confirming the agreement.
We were guaranteed that this would be the cheapest when it was taken out. My husband did the dealings, but he had no E signature or anything for this contract. We also do not have any contract. Just what YGP are saying. I have now advanced it to a complaint and the TPI section of YGP
I am now working with Ombudsman to try to get to the bottom of this
I have only realised that commercial contracts are literally locked in.
The electricity costs are £3k a month. Its terrible.0 -
