New cooker faulty what are my rights?

2 weeks ago we gad a gas leak. Emergency engineer confirmed it was the gas cooker pipe which ran under the concrete floor. Due to xmas being round the corner and way of handling my floor being dug up and new pipes laid, we purchased an electric cooker with the quickest delivery available. It arrived on Sat and as soon as we tried to use it, got an error code 😫 Lots of phone calls today to both the retailer and manufacturer and then we get a text saying an Engineer is coming.....in Jan!!! I asked for a replacement, they said it's repair once I've accepted the delivery?!? I said I can't know its faulty until its installed!! I've been so upset and crying today. If I wanted a faulty cooker, I would have kept my old one and not been massively out of pocket before Xmas. Is there anything that I can do? Any advice appreciated

You can exercise your short term right to reject the goods with the retailer, you have 30 days from delivery to do this as the goods are faulty.
They naturally have a right to validate they are faulty, and this may be easier done with the goods in situ rather than uplifting them first, but they cannot force you to accept a repair for something thats faulty in the first few days.
Leave the manufacturer out of this if they cannot help you with to get it working on your own, your rights are with the retailer and the manufacturer offering to do things etc muddies the water.2 -

Common error from google
This indicates a potential issue with the circuit board.
Try turning off for 30 seconds & back on again.

If you have home insurance, check to see if you have Legal Expenses cover included as part of the polciy. If you do, call the Legal Helpline for advice on how to get a refund. They might even call the supplier if the supplier is telling you something that is incorrect about your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1

As above you need to directly state you are exercising your short term right to reject as the goods do not conform to the contract.Which retailer did you order with?In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

Just to add to the saga, after 2 engineer visits, the hob ring with the error has been fixed......however........a few hours later the opposite ring is now displaying e9 error code!!! 😠 another engineer call placed but they won't be out until 05 Jan. I just want to return the damned thing and get my money back!!:heart2: Cookiepops :heart2:0

Contact AO and state you are rejecting the cooker as this is my legal right. You are entitled to a full refund including any delivery charges.
