Facebook / Marketplace notifications.

Feel like I've asked this before although can't remember where so may not have been here & can't get to grips with the clunky search function on this message board vs the old MSE message board so if I have asked then don't shoot me.

Basically I'm wanting to sort out my notifications from Marketplace so that I get them when they come through. 

Problem is, I get SOME when they come through but many not, which makes no sense to me - either I should get them all or none of them, not randomly some & randomly not some.

Very annoying when trying to sell things. I had contact yesterday from someone who was in the area & could collect in a short time frame ...... I've only just seen the message now that I've logged on to Facebook on PC. The other week I had someone contact me on a Tuesday for an item I was selling but I only came across the message on the Friday by which time they'd bought elsewhere.

Sure I could check Messenger every 30 minutes in case I've received a message but not really the answer.

I have a feeling marketplace doesn't push notifications for people that are not in your friend group, the reason being that if you were selling something popular you could get hundreds of unsolicited messages.

Thing is I've had contact from family members & some times their messages come through, other times I have to stumble across them. Which is why I ask them not to use Messenger to contact me for anything close to important.

Facebook messenger probably isn't the best for family and friend messages.
You probably have had a notification but just swiped it away either by mistake or without thinking. 
If you want all notifications go into messenger and make sure they are switched on and then ask your family members to send you a message while sitting beside them and paying attention.

When I say I haven't had a notification, I haven't had a notification. 

If it was a 1 off then maybe I'd buy your suggestion. I'd think it myself. 

But it's happened too much. So when I say I at times get messages without notifications then that's the exact situation.
