Parking Penalty ticket by Parking Eye/LIDL - Who do I contact first please?

Dear Forumites,
I was recently hit with a ticket by Parking Eye while shopping in Lidl just before their closure at 10pm. Having completed my shopping (which took 24 minutes all in all) I headed to the vehicle and exited the car park but didn't realise I probably had to scan the ticket (hence why I received this ticket)? I didn't see the ticket terminals as they would normally be located after you've past the tills. On this occasion I remember only seeing the Security officer. I still have the receipt but wondering who to contact first (Parking Eye or Lidl Customer Services) to raise this with them with hope they'll cancel? Your views are much appreciated. Thank you.

Send copies of your receipt plus a simple appeal stating you was a Lidl customer when parking.
Lidl is running out of cp space due to increased footfall.2 -
Complaint just sent off few mins ago. Will look out for their response and will update here thereafter. Thank you.Coupon-mad said:As per the NEWBIES thread. PLAN A FIRST.

Good outcome @Philou, well done. Would you please post a short synopsis and a link to this original thread in the following one.Philou said:Hi All, as promised, I want to update you all that the Parking CN has been cancelled by Lidl itself. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thank-you for cancelling the PCN and I did enjoy my shopping trip at your store on this occasion only as I shall not be returning, preferring to give my custom to stores that care!5 -

That's a great result, although we are very unhappy with Lidl not realising that they are (we believe) losing a fair amount of repeat customers, due to allowing an ANPR aggressive litigator on site.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
