Question about PIP review
Comments

Interesting, so she had a paper-based assessment then which, to my knowledge, is quite rare.
It's a shame you weren't given a copy of the previous completed form for future reference.
You could certainly seek help with it, they don't give extensions but with a mental health marker on her case they'll continue the process anyway (for others they close it if the form isn't returned on time). So it shouldn't matter too much if getting an appointment takes longer than the UC50 deadline.

Do you think them asking to review it now has anything to do with the decision of her pending PIP review or is it normal for them to review it after this amount of time anyway?Spoonie_Turtle said:Interesting, so she had a paper-based assessment then which, to my knowledge, is quite rare.

No, not at all. It's just a coincidence. The majority of people are reviewed at some point.MR_t0 said:

Well after 10 months we have got to the..poppy12345 said:
15 weeks? If hers is a review then for a lot of people that's very wishful thinking. The delays with review decision are ridiculous. Some are still waiting almost a year after returning their forms.born_again said:
Having just filled the wife's in. Totally agree with the sentiment.Spoonie_Turtle said:Alice_Holt said:
I can see why people follow the instructions rather than filling it out comprehensively. Maddening. Thank goodness for this forum and members sharing their expertise!
Plenty of changes & evidence to send in.
Thankfully got msg today received. So now the long wait to see what happens. Seem to remember something about wait times down to 15 weeks. 😶🌫️
text msg from Health Assessment Advisory Service (who thinks up these names) Are managing the assessment. They will look at the evidence supplied & may contact us for a appointment if they need a consultation with us.Life in the slow lane0 -
Paper based assessment is still possible, if they have enough of information to write the report without the need for an actual assessment. Good luck and I hope the outcome is a positive one.born_again said:

I finally had my PIP decision middle of October, which was paper based again this time. It took 11 months for mine.1 -
PIP assessments are triaged and put into streams, automatic claim (terminal illness with relevant docs) more info, paper assessment, home visit and assessment. Sound like yours is about to hit the triage stage and once decided, the outcome will affect the next steps.born_again said:

But if phone or home visit not bothered. It is what it is.Life in the slow lane0 -
Finally heard back from this. I attached all the paperwork from the previous tribunal etc but now they have given her a telephone assessment. We've never had one of these over the telephone before. Anyone know anything about how they work?

Has she had a face-to-face assessment before? It's similar to that, they ask about your history, your daily life, how you manage (or don't) the different PIP activities and what effect doing things has on her.MR_t0 said:Finally heard back from this. It’s the same assessment, except they cant do the physical examination. So the questions will not change, the format doesnt change, its just over the phone.MR_t0 said:Finally heard back from this.
