CST Law Letter Before Claim

Hiya everyone.

I have just received a Letter Before Claim from CST Law concerning an unpaid parking notice I received some two years ago. I have had no contact whatsoever with any of the protagonists, but feel now is the time to reach out for help, as it seems its heading to court. CST Law are claiming £160, however, the original notice was for £100. My question is what do I do now? And is this Abuse of Process? Hope someone can help.

It's not abuse of process and please just forget that phrase.  Just read other CST LBC threads and the NEWBIES thread.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • As  Umkomaas says the story about CST T/A CREDIT STYLE is in the link

Credit Style has aleady been investigated by the SRA and they are simply not fit for purpose even under the name of CST

If the SRA think that scamming people by adding fake amounts is the way to operate, then the MoJ should be replacing the SRA AND GET RID OF THESE MONEY SCAMMERS

The courts are now understanding the scam so see what CST actually do and if they really want a court spanking ???
  • So should I ignore this letter as i've ignored the previous?

No, that's not what the NEWBIES thread advises.

  • I followed the Umkomaas link above which leads to a Letter Before Claim from CST. Following on from the picture its claimed "given that this is NOT a real LBC and needs no response" by Coupon-mad. The letter I have received is similar to this. My question is how can you tell its not a real LBC?

Should I upload the one I have received?

  • I'm sorry, but you must understand i'm new to this and as such have absolutely no idea of even what the NEWBIES thread is. Is it

**NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!**?

I have 9 days and it seems like i'm trying to break an enigma code.

Reading the NEWBIE sticky will enable you to crack the code.  It is not a skim read, more a cup of tea* and a plate of biscuits read. It's broken down into relevant sections for you, first post for initial PCN and appealing, second post (where you are now) for LBC and beyond, including defence and court stage, third post POPLA.

    *Other beverages are available!
  • Cheers mate. Will have a go.
