£5 per month0 -
Please avoid GoDaddy, look up their ethics as a company.
With most domain registrars / hosts (e.g. Fasthosts) you pay for the domain which is then yours for a period as a one off payment (then pay for renewals) and can then take an email package which usually is monthly billed and cancellable.
There are ways to be able to register a domain and then forward any emails from the domain provider to your Gmail account (that part is usually pretty simple). You can then set up your gmail account to be able to send out email based on the registered domain as well, but that can be more complex depending on the domain provider.
I do this where family members get any email addresses I have registered for them to their gmail account and any other email addresses (don't need to specify) get sent to my gmail account. Family members email is sent from the gmail account as if it were from their domain email, and I have a number of different outbound emails i can choose from in Gmail. Used to be I could automatically have it use the same email as it came into but Gmail have restricted that now.1 -

It looks that Workspace will do what you want. Look for the ‘business starter’ plan. Yes it does let you have multiple aliases

It says £6 per user per month when billed monthly.
"Canceling your service
With the Flexible Plan, you can cancel your subscription whenever you want, and you only pay for the service you already used.

I'm in Google Workspace
If cancel I guess simple enough to start it up again, just login to Google Workspace and use the email again0 -
Hi I would use your existing gmail account to register the domain0

If you really only want it for a couple of months then I would question why you want to do it at all?
Is this a new business that you are trying to get off the ground and if it doesn't fly then it will get dropped in the first couple of months?1 -
