Do you have a website? Often available that way. If not, I think you'll need a domain. But I'm no expertSignature removed for peace of mind0

Not considered professinal by whom and does it matter?
There are lots of free providers would others seem more professional or do you want to use your own business name?Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid1 -
How important is email to your business? For many it's a business critical communication tool and "cheapest way possible" would be a crazy target -v- a robust well protected service which won't be flagged as spam by everyone you send to.textbook said:Want to get a business email as gmail isn't considered professional apparently, what's the cheapest way?
Domain name will be sub £1 for .co.uk for year 1, £12/year after that. For a single domain and single mailbox you can get web and email hosting for £1.50/month or £2.50 if you want multiple email addresses (eg sales@yourdomain.com and complaints@yourdomain.com)
Potentially hosting could be cheaper depending on what other services you already have and if you don't want a website to go with your domain.1 -
It is a bit cheap tbh. There is a van that still drives around here with an fsmail email address emblazoned on it, and a load of numbers and letters before it, how are you meant to remember all that whilst driving past it? And thats ignoring the fact of does fsmail even work anymore?oldernonethewiser said:Not considered professinal by whom and does it matter?
info@insertdomainname.co.uk looks a hell of a lot better and easier to remember.4 -
mybusiness@gmail.com is pretty easy to remember as well.
You could go old school and sign up for an AOL address.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid3 -
I would not recommend anyone running their business on a free platform remember.. you are not the customer and they have no incentive to help in the event of technical issues.
Domains with email accounts are pretty cheap I use hover.com0 -
You would get one with a Google Workspace subscription. Probably not the cheapest but would give a hassle-free transition from existing gmail (presumably)
£5 per month2 -
Got a link for this?coffeehound said:You would get one with a Google Workspace subscription. Probably not the cheapest but would give a hassle-free transition from existing gmail (presumably)

Not needed for frequent contact just a few occasional emails. What's the link for the £1 .co.uk sign up for email?DullGreyGuy said:
