I've decided that Octopus sounds like a reasonable supplier so will go with them. However, I don't, for various reasons, want a smart meter - will that cause problems transferring to Octopus? Will the pressure me to have a smart meter fitted?

But you really are missing out on 25% off your energy bill.not having one. Can you really afford to pay say £500+ more a year for energy from something you may have read on the internet?4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Just to add I have been with Octopus since February
Most people on here say Octopus have the best customer service, I don't know about that as I have never had to contact them
I give them a reading every month and receive a bill within a few days within a few pence of my spreadsheet calculation
I can and have received refunds, I can and I have reduced my direct debits
I do have a good credit amount that will get me through the winter and I will request a refund in May, I have no doubt I will get it.
I don't have a smart meter and could well be missing out on cheaper tariffs but, I am a very low user so I would't save much anyway
Plus I am happy as I am, no problems no stress1 -

I have an old bellows gas meter and Octopus have never urged me to change to Smart, apart the generic stuff on the app (which every supplier has). They're great.0

No I'm not that forgetful
I haven't had to contact them with a problem
That was an enquiry and someone on here suggested a bot answered
