Anyone recently deposited into their current account (or savings) in branch using your own debit card from another bank as the source of funds chip & pin? If so which bank counter and is it restricted to the ATM withdrawal limit?
Need to access current account cash and can't do this say into Family BS due to lack of 2FA.

Rather than going with the wide 'which banks' open question, perhaps worth simply clarifying where you're trying to get money to and from, assuming it's not a purely hypothetical scenario?
What do you mean by 'lack of 2FA'?0 -
The original post is a bit confusing, but if you want to deposit cash, you could simply go to a post office where you can deposit into any bank account so long as you have the card and pin number.0

The OP is hard to decipher but I assume the OP is asking can he or she go into a branch of (for example) HSBC with a Halifax debit card, and use that to pay money in over the counter.
Quite clearly the answer is no, unless you use a cash machine to draw money from the Halifax card first.2 -

It might work if OP was moving ££ from an RBS account to NatWest with a paying in slip for NW. This is because NW card readers can access RBS accounts as they are in the same banking family (or whatever you call it)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Will it not be easier to write and deposit a cheque? For many banks you won't even need to go to a branch and can do it at home via an app.1

The original post is a bit ambiguous but if I'm interpreting it correctly:
- The OP is now unable to make withdrawals from their current account online for some reason
- The OP is also unable to make debit card deposits into their Family BS account due to issues with receiving one time passcodes
- As a result of the above the OP now looking for a savings account that allows deposits by debit card without the use of a OTP being sent to a phone in order to access the funds, which they then hope to withdraw in cash or transfer on to another account from there???
If this interpretation is correct then there are a string of building societies that allow deposits to be made into their savings accounts by debit card in branch listed on this thread:

Alternatively try using telephone banking to transfer the funds to wherever they need to go.0 -
You'll have to explain what you want to do. What's the problem with your online banking that's stopping you making a transfer?2
