Virgin contract cancellation, can I sign up again as a 'new customer' afterwards?

My contract with Virgin ends in January after an 18 month introductory price offer. I'm going to send a letter to cancel the contract with the appropriate 30 days notice. Then that's that.
Virgin are the only provider of fibre broadband where I live with speeds I 'need'. So after my contract is terminated, can I join them again with a new 'new customers only' offer? Or would there need to be a period of time without them before qualifying as new again?

Virgin normally views it’s old customers as ‘new’ after a 12 month absence.
