Assistance at Charles de Gaulle airport caused us to miss our onward flight to Newcastle from Geneva

I need assistance at airports between flights. On 10th October the assistance simply abandoned me and the son I was travelling with in several different places and eventually decided that they would stroll to the gate, knowing that the flight to Newcastle had left. We had to make out way back to the Air France help deskto find that we would have to travel back on the Wednesday morning.
We then spent four hours without water or any offer of food . I had to intervene at one point on behalf of another traveller who had missed the same flight for the same reason, so that eventually she was given some water and a sandwich. We were then taken to another waiting desk where we waited another hour and a half. the booked us into a hotel and said there would be a shuttle to bring us back in the morning. The shuttle was late by half an hour. I had to keep asking at the desk where it was as I feared to miss the 9.45 am flight. On arrival we were taken back to the holding pen where I asked if we could be taken straight to the gate. Although I asked several times this was refused., and assistance became rather surly and told me to find my own way there. I had to insist several times, explaining that my son was ill and that we needed to get back to Newcastle. Eventually we were taken to the gate. I have complained to Air France who tell me to take it up with the airport, but there seems no way of contacting Charles de Gaulle assistance.
I booked ort tickets and the assistance directly on the Air France website. It seems to me that they are in fact responsible. Am I right? and where do I go from here? I should say that we missed our outward flight from Charles de Gaulle to Geneva again because of the dilatory assistance, but this time there was a flight available an hour later. The people at Air France asked me why we missed our flight and I said I had no idea, it was the assistance.

If it follows UK rule's then the airport is responsible to and from plane, airline while you're on plane.

Yes, it does appear to be the airport’s responsibility.

So it would be the airports complaints process.
