What would the difference be if out of the bottle they are both -10?

One is ready mixed. One is concentrated where you put your water in yourself. The ready mix is "good to go" If always get the concentrated version tbhHillStreetBlues said:

One is pre mixed with water essentially, so you're paying for screenwash and you're paying for water too. The concentrate one will make far more actual screenwash and tbh when it's used neat, that is a deicerphotome said:

But both are -10 out of the bottle, so what makes one concentrated and the other ready to go (apart from the label)? as they seem to be same strength.waqasahmed said:

I guess that the premixed one would actually go down to -20C if it was concentratedHillStreetBlues said:

Could well be, but I'm looking at it from a money saving POV.waqasahmed said:

The concentrated one is 20% dearer but I thought concentrated ones were better value in general once it's diluted.
If you add 50% water to concentrated it "Effective down to -4⁰C" but wouldn't that also apply to the "ready mixed" if you added 50% water as the active ingredient would be diluted by the same ratio.
So am I paying extra thinking it's better value, when if fact I'm paying more for the same stuff that's just labelled differently?

Yes. It they both go down to -10 straight out of the bottle, if you dilute the concentrate one it won’t go down to -10waqasahmed said:

I have always bought concentrate as I don’t want to pay for water but there appears no difference between the 2 Halfords versions other than price0 -
That is exactly how I read it and looks like the concentrate is poor valueHillStreetBlues said:

The concentrate one seems to imply it has additional detergents added, so presumably if it's 50% diluted it will still have a good concentration of detergent, whereas the ready mixed one will dilute the detergents, despite the freezing point being the same..0

I guess someone needs to see what it says at Halford for each re: the "instructions"chrisw said:The concentrate one seems to imply it has additional detergents added, so presumably if it's 50% diluted it will still have a good concentration of detergent, whereas the ready mixed one will dilute the detergents, despite the freezing point being the same..
I'm personally of the opinion of getting a more expensive screenwash for the winter, and a cheap Asda one for most of the year because the price difference is quite big.
The winter one doubles up as deicer if you've got a spray bottle. That's cheaper than having to buy 500ml or deicer0
