Lidl 5l screenwash

Years ago, I bought the Lidl 5l screenwash for just £5.99
It's finally finished today, and I noticed on the label it says that it's made by VCP. The screenwash allegedly goes down to minus 60C and I don't quite trust what it says on screenwash figures so I figure that minus 60C will probably be closer to performing well at minus 30C which just never happens. It's the VCP screenwash with antifreeze

I've personally bought the PRESTONE PSCWO039A just before my Lidl one ran out, but if anyone wants the Lid stuff they used, they can still get it on Amazon DE

Well the temperature in the UK is unlikely to drop to anything like -30C (and certainly not -60C) so you are good to go. Diluting it 1:1 looks like the best option, to be on the safe side.

Oh for sure. I got the one I did given it allegedly goes down to - 18C and it very very rarely goes down to -9C. I basically reckon that whatever it says on the product, halve it and that's probably a truer value.ElefantEd said:Well the temperature in the UK is unlikely to drop to anything like -30C (and certainly not -60C) so you are good to go. But the Lid stuff was known to be really good regardless, so I figured I'll see if there's anyway you can still buy it and you can0 -
Lots of the ready to use stuff now is ok for something like -2, so that's great stuff. I tried the tablets from ebay and mixed my own - not frozen so far and works out a bargain. Discount stores sell AA screenwash tablets that are ok to -5 I think.
Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0 -
Not much point in worrying about -60C, unless Lidl has branches in Antarctica...0

I've personally got the Asda cheap-y one and the Prescot one too ie : to use the Asda cheap one for spring to autumn and the other one for winter only0 -
Don't leave the ASDA screenwash in the car. I had the 2.5L one in the boot and it froze solid.
I still have some of the LIDL screenwash left, people kept saying it was hard to get so I bought a LOAD of it.
Lucky because I have not seen it at out local store since.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Very good question, on the face of it there doesn’t appear to be any differenceHillStreetBlues said:Halford's Screenwash
