Lag water pipe

My water pipe from the mains freezes when it gets very cold - thames water will not help.
Does anyone know how to find it and lag it ?

Im guessing your pipe is close to the ground level for it to freeze, normally they are deep enough sono need to lag as the insulation from the earth stops it from freezing.
As for finding it try water didining with a couple of metal rods, a metal coathanger is good for this.0 -
If you know where the stop valve is (Usually at the property boundary) start there.
It normally takes the most direct route.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0
