Sky Glass - is it any good?

Most of the previous posts on this subject are a few years old which is a long time in techie world so I’m wondering if anyone’s taken this recently and if so what’s your opinion of it? We presently have a Humax box and Firestick running through a 2012 Panasonic and being able to simply switch from one to another system would in itself be a blessing

He's a techie nut, film and sport mad too
If it wasn't any good he would forever complain and he doesn't0 -

The Glass TVs are not the best, the screen technology is a few years old.
You'd be better off buying a new TV and subscribing to Sky Stream if you want your TV over the internet.
Have a look on the Sky Forum.0 -

The TV's are not that great and you find over time you only watch a certain few channels.3 -
The thing that put me off the sky glass was that the tv does not have Bluetooth headphone compatibility which in this day and age is rediculous. How many people will have got one and not done due research and realize when it’s too late that they can’t connect their headphones?2

That was my concern really, most of the earlier threads were saying the TVs weren’t that great but I wondered a few years on if that was still the case, trying to gauge opinion from anyone that’s taken it up more recently0

Just get a sky stream puk and buy tv separate.0

Reviews from forums that focus on Home Cinema continue to be poor... but these are exceptionally picky people and often ones with exceptionally large budgets (given how many claim to have JVC projectors that start at £8k and most claim not to have the base model).
For more than one reason I think the puk and TV is a better option, if nothing else if one or the other fails or tech improves you are just replacing the one part not the whole. Remember so many people with a TV with a VHS or DVD player built in with a separate one next to it because the built in one had died.0 -
Sky Glass without the Sky ultimate package is pointless. If you leave Sky (not sure why anyone uses it) you are left with a not exactly stellar TV.
If you must stream sky, then, as advised, it's best to get a proper tv and whatever Sky flog to stream separately.
