(Kraken - Octopus, same sort of beast.) It's so good that they've managed to sell it to several other suppliers, UK and overseas, including EON.But you may just as well join Octopus.
The Octopus Home Mini (OHM) is a little palm-sized device that you can obtain for free from Octopus if you're a customer with a smart meter. It connects wirelessly to your smart meters and to your WiFi. Once installed it allows you to see the same real-time information that you see on your in-home display, but on your phone, anywhere in the world with a data connection, using the Octopus app.Space_Cat said:And also this,” The Home Mini gives you live usage data, breakdown over the last 5mins and last 30mins, and the daily data appears in real-time on the app”.Also is the Home Mini an amazon smart speaker?N. ^ One caveat with the Octopus Home Mini is that it is a beta product and I think there is still a waiting list, so if you wait for months and then get a duff one there's no guarantee you'll be able to get it working or get a replacement.
It seems for most people it works just fine, but just mentioning that is a possibility.2 -
Or if you are not an Octopus customer, there is always the Hildebrand Glow - It integrates with the Bright app (according to the sales blurb), so you can access the data on your phone.QrizB said: The Octopus Home Mini (OHM) is a little palm-sized device that you can obtain for free from Octopus if you're a customer with a smart meter. Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

I have that IHD. It shows day, week and month kWh use and every 30 minutes over the last day on a single screen. It doesn't waste the screen real estate like most other IHDs.FreeBear said:

Hi, yes thank you, I didn't know about that until MultiFuelBurner told me about it. And coincidentally my sister is with Octopus so she's going to send me a referral code.bagand96 said:If you're joining octopus then don't forget the £50 refer a friend credit. £50 for you and the person who refers you. You can do it at the time of sign up or once your account is set up.
I can't remember if I said, but UW whom I'm currently with bill every month via DD. So high bills in the winter and likewise lower bill in the summer. But I would rather pay the same amount monthly via DD and spread the cost. I moved from a 1-bed ground floor flat to a 3-bed bungalow and have noticed the bigger bills.2 -
