  • Partner for 25 years unmarried. Last couple of years they had some issues, I think her mental health might have been in question. My neighbour is a very calm and gentle chap, the type that irons their underpants and socks. He is really struggling with all this and just wants this all behind him. He has talked about an out of Court settlement but the Daughter wants everything!

    Possibly the partner's MH made her think that she somehow owned the property. I don't think I'd be settling out of court if I believed it unlikely the estranged daughter had a case - but I would be taking legal advice about it first.
