    The event seem to have reduced to 1 hour from 1.5h.
    Differences:
    0.37 = 66 = 1h
    0.54 = 97 = 1h
    0.35 = 63 = 1h
    0 = 0 = 1h
    0.63 = 113 = 1h
    0.69 = 204 = 1h
    0.53 = 157 = 1.5h

    So, far only 1 reward is confirmed for 29th November 2023 (the award confirmation seem to be at least 7 weeks behind (shall be 5 days)).

    used for table generation (type values with comma, click convert and then copy html)

    The event on 14/12/2023 was missed, as I was late working and family didn't get a message (next time will use smart speaker to announce remotely).

    Today I was surprised to see that most of the points are now confirmed and the last unconfirmed points event is for 17th January 2024 (8 days ago). Hopping for another event tomorrow.

    Thanks for the heads-up - I've now been credited for the other two sessions I took part in nearly 2 months ago and the suspicions I mentioned previously have been confirmed... 115 points for 3 sessions (4 hours in total) means that I'd need to take part in around 36 further sessions to earn a £15 Tesco gift card !

    I know these energy-saving events aren't just about the reward, but they're going to have to try a bit harder than that (and actually get their estimated use figures right, in my case) if they want more people to take part.

    TBH - this is probably the last straw for me with Scottish Power, anyway. I've long-since got tired of their unreliable app and randomly-issued (and confusingly laid-out) bills, where the billing period for the gas often doesn't match the period for the electricity. With this in mind, it doesn't actually surprise me that their normal-use figures for these energy-saving events are so wrong for me.

    I've only just recently managed to receive a refund of the huge amount of credit they'd managed to build up from me (with inaccurate minimum monthly direct debit amounts that didn't tally with my previous energy use) so now could actually be a good time for me to switch. Needless to say though, they fitted a SMETS1 meter (at a time when they should have been fitting SMETS2 meters) so even switching away from them isn't going to be without it's hassles and may involve going 'dumb' for a while.

  • We have a Tesla Powerwall so during the ‘Events’ we just turn the battery on, disconnect from the mains and consume zero electricity. Somehow SP always find that we’ve used a few Watts!
